Food is almost four stars but I found it a bit pricy. This is the reason I give an overall 3 stars. In any case is a nice place to taste local food.

If you want to taste the most delicious (sweet or salty) tapioca in a rustic, local and friendly way, Casa de Taipa is the place. Here you have plenty of fillings to choose from and, unless you really don't like tapioca, you will have an amazing experience. Friendly people with great local atmosphere.

Nice area. Unique food. Friendly staff. Great place if you want to have a light dinner before heading out for a night out in town. Great place for lunch as well. One part of the restaurant's floor (terrace) is covered with white-beach-sand, careful if you are wearing heals. If not into the sand floor stick to the tables inside of... More

We tried multiple tapiocas on multiple visits (lunch, dinner, dessert), and each and every one was beyond amazing.

If you want to taste some of exotic and delicious local food, try the Tapioca. It is made of manioc and filled in with a variety of flavours. Try it with cheese and coconut or smashed meat. The place is decorated with local art (artesanato) providing charm and festive atmosphere.

Tapioca is sort of a big deal in the North East of the country. This restaurant has the best tapioca I've had so far in Brazil. Definitely worth going, we ended up going three times we liked it so much. Super friendly staff, coconut water straight from an icy cold coconut. For me it couldn't get any better. Ordered fried... Wonderful outdoor, but completely covered restaurant loaded with local art and artifacts and plants. The restaurant is entertaining just to sit and look at everything. The menu is composed of multiple varieties of Brazilian style tapioca and couscous and everything we tried was excellent. (smoked chicken, cheese and olive tapioca, shrimp and vegetable couscous and fried banana/dulce de leite tapioca)... More
