If you want to taste some of exotic and delicious local food, try the Tapioca. It is made of manioc and filled in with a variety of flavours. Try it with cheese and coconut or smashed meat. The place is decorated with local art (artesanato) providing charm and festive atmosphere.

Tapioca is sort of a big deal in the North East of the country. This restaurant has the best tapioca I've had so far in Brazil. Definitely worth going, we ended up going three times we liked it so much. Super friendly staff, coconut water straight from an icy cold coconut. For me it couldn't get any better. Ordered fried... Wonderful outdoor, but completely covered restaurant loaded with local art and artifacts and plants. The restaurant is entertaining just to sit and look at everything. The menu is composed of multiple varieties of Brazilian style tapioca and couscous and everything we tried was excellent. (smoked chicken, cheese and olive tapioca, shrimp and vegetable couscous and fried banana/dulce de leite tapioca)... More

This was a great place to eat. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food was both priced well and tasted fantastic. This was my second favorite place to eat in Natal and would highly recommend it.

We enjoyed eating here. The food was very tasty and unique. There is a wide variety of ingredients to choose from to stuff into what is basically a tapioca pancake. I went with the grilled chicken and cheese. There are vegetarian options as well. It is very reasonably priced. Very relaxed, funky, laid back atmosphere and the restaurant is open... More

I happened upon Casa de Taipa with a Brazilian friend, and I am so glad I did. Tapioca and cuzcuz, regional dishes that were wonderful -- and the caipirinha was excellent, too. Beautiful atmosphere, great service.

The place has a great decoration, so cozy and typical of northeast Brazil!. Food was delicious, only tapiocas, but stuffed with different things! Try the ones with cane do sol and nata as well as quiejo coalho and côco. They're great!!!! Caipirinha of cashew is just excellent!!
