During the 70's and 80's I went there countless times for late late night food, usually tender (ham) pineapple sandwich or any steak. Now whenever I get back to Rio I have to check it out and, wow, the waiters changed but the food didn't....More
Cervantes was recommended to us by many so we stopped by for lunch. The servings were very generous and my friend and I certainly could have shared one sandwich and the chips as neither of us were able to finish our own.
Nothing to add to the praise here. The steak & pineapple sandwich is that good. I was on a 10 pm flight back to London and went here for a late afternoon meal hoping it would fill me up so I wouldn't be hungry on...More
Cervantes is one of my favourite restaurants in Rio de Janeiro. I go there once a month precisely to seek out the Batatas Portuguesas (homemade crisps/ potato chips). The restaurant stays open until the early hours, I believe most days it remains open until 6am....More
I highly recommend the Fillet Mignon sandwich with Pineapple & Cheese! (Add a bit of their HOT sauce for perfection)
It's a perfect steak sandwich. The meat was juicy and tender and flavorful!

This was the first restaurant we ate in and were amazed at the size of the portions! The food was good quality and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient. Popular with locals and families.

Ive only been here for their massive filet mignon, pineapple, and cheese sandwiches, but that alone is enough for me to give them 5 stars. Granted this is not gourmet food, but I love these sandwiches! Perfect with a chopp on a Sunday afternoon to...More
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful
draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
