Very nice and good lebanese (arabic) meal. As appetizers we took the small "esfirras". They have lots of typical dishes from Lebanon, including some of their local beer. My son took kafta and I order kibe cooked in "coalhada". Both tastefull. We do recommend it. For a fast meal, they have their wrapps, look nice. Price is on the average... More

During the Olympics it is here always crowded. But the service is quick and friendly. A lot of choice and of a good quality. Loved the baklava.

Here in Rio for the Olympics read the review and this was two blocks from our hotel so we give it a go. As my wife is vegetarian this looked good and did not disappoint. Great food... And my vege platter was so big it was enough for two people... Great selection of food. Loved it and the Arabian mint... More

The food here is what steals the show. The restaurant is simple. The service mediocre.. but I'd go back for the food. I had lots of things, but loved the kibe crudo.. just wonderful and no one made sick. I'd definitely go back

Our favorite meal during our four days in Copacabana was at Amir. We are two vegetarians (one gluten-free vegan) and they had lots of options for us. In fact we ordered way too much food and were stuffed. (But it was so good we couldn't stop eating!) The best humus we've ever had. Try the veggie platter which includes baba... More

Being a vegetarian there is not much choice in Rio apart from your standard pizza and pasta. This lebanese restaurant is a great choice for vegetarians. Good tasty and healthy Lebanese food. Make sure to ask for the hot pitta breads.... yummy! This with humous, babaganush, falafel, chilli paste, garlic paste is a real treat. Highly recommended.

While in Rio this place is a must visit and eat at. Great fast service with friendly staff. And the food, so so yummy! Large servings, lots of bread, no need to order a second round! The Falafel was so, good and fresh. Brought home so much for the next day. Good prices!

Amir is within easy walking distance of some of the good hotels overlooking the Copocabana beach and well worth the walk. The food is As genuine as any thing you will eat in the Middle East or Morocco. Sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere, food and good service. Avoid over ordering as is so easy and enjoy a combo platter.

Thank Douglas C

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
