My husband and I wen tto Zuka for dinner one night while in Rio and really loved it! We arrived about 7:00pm and got in easily without a reservation. By 8:00pm, the place was packed. Even with limited English, the waiting staff here were absolutely charming and couldn't do more for us! I loved the rich and rustic atmosphere of... More

This is a charming restaurant that is very popular. So a reservation is required. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try very good food.

I like exploring restaurants, but there are ones where I am always happy to come back to. Zuka is probably near the top of this list. Good location (Leblon, the jewel of Rio's South End), comfortable tables and very efficient staff. But the real magic is when you get to taste Chef Ludmilla's creations. The plates arrive with an artistic... More

The food, really, is just ok. It is so overpriced its not worth eating there. I ate the pupunha spaghetti and my friend ordered a fish. It took 40 mins for our plates to come to the table. They were really sorry for the delay and gave us a free dessert.

Seared tuna was fantastic! As was also the Chilean Chardonnay, the ceviche and the great service. We got there by 8 pm and walked right in but an hour later it was packed and on a week night as well. Enjoyed every bit!

Thus far it's the best restaurant I've eaten at in Rio. When we arrived we were seated in a quite cramped table by the door. I happened to notice there were some bench seats in front of where the chefs were cooking. I asked if we could change and it wasn't a problem. It was really great watching these 6... More

We had a really delicious meal here with unique tastes .. seared tuna with shredded local veggies. The fish ceviche was outstanding as was pretty much everything .. take the tapioca ice cream for dessert! Enjoy but be prepared for loud loud loud.. It is a good thing the food is so good ..

Very good food with a nice atmosfere. Both fish and meat are delicious. Fast service although the place was full. It should be a good idea to book ahead. It's worth a visit.

Just try anything. It is all great. You can start with the different sticks, then have the filet mignon with herbs. Finish with the "brigadeiro de colher" You wont regret

Staying in Leblon

Neighborhood Profile
In addition to being one of the most upscale neighbourhoods in the city, Leblon is charming, elegant and simple. This posh area has some of the most famous and expensive restaurants in Brazil, along with some of the city’s best nightlife (including some places open all night). One of the best places to visit is the beach, located under the impressive “Morro Dois Irmãos” (Two Brothers Hill). It’s a pleasant place to relax and admire the local beauty.
