I like restaurants, where the open-concept architecture allows the patrons to observe the whole preparation process, their careful handling of food and its ingredients. For appetizers we tasted seared tuna in truffled ponzu and free range egg yolk, white fish ceviche with ‘biquinho’ pepper and...Brazilian crispy beef cake with dark mustard. For the main dish I went for the tenderloin steak in herbal ghee with goat cheese risotto and crunchy leeks, and my husband took the cod fish with roasted onions, black olives and sweet potato cream 'au gratin'. We ordered their awesome vine. If we come to Rio again some day, we would definitely revisit Zuka restaurant.More

We had an early dinner, starting around 7, the place was rather empty when we arrived and full when we left. Excellent service and delicious meal. Highly recommended!

Well worth a visit here. The food is delicious. We shared the guacamole starter with crisp pita bread, this is a must have if you go there. We also had duck with stuffing and the z burger both we’re extremely tasty. Good selection of wines....Very reasonable pricing considering the quality of food. Very good service.More

Made two recent visits to Rio and ate at Zuka about 4 times. This restaurant was fantastic. I speak little Portuguese but everyone was able to work with me on ordering and the menu had an English side and Portuguese side. The gnocchi was fantastic...as well as the tuna and squid. They have a great wine list and daily specials. They have an open kitchen and you can sit right in front and watch the meals being made and plated. On top of the great food and service it a great area to go out for drinks after and continue the night. This restaurant food and service was on par with any restaurant in any large city in the states. Fantastic and when in Rio will be back.More

We arrived at Zuka soaked to the bone after being caught in a surprise downpour. Staff were welcoming and helped us dry off. Food was outstanding started with the guacamole and Gnocchi which were delicious followed by the pork chop and lovely creme brûlée style...dessert. Great team at Zuka well doneMore

This was a gem of a restaurant in Leblon. The staff were fantastic. The food was interesting and outstanding. If the guacamole is still on the menu make sure you order it!
