The only interest of this place is people watching. That is it. Sadly, Sushi Leblon is a very poor attempt at Japanese fusion food. Any average Jap-fusion in the US (think Haru, Yama, etc. In NYC) beat it hands down. Dishes are unimpressive. Tastes are unmemorable. Fish is not the freshest (just look at the color of the tuna...). It... More

Came here with a big group (10+), and they were incredibly accommodating from the very beginning. The food was delicious (I recommend the assortment platter for large groups), as were the drinks. Would definitely recommend!

This is an excellent place to go for sushi in Rio. Food is amazing, service is awesome and ambiance too. Not cheap but you will leave happy and that doesn't happen in all of the expensive places we visit, right??

Unfortunately this place is totally overrated and overpriced. The Sushi is ok but not great and the gyoza were totally disgusting. I don't understand the hype.

It is certainly the WORST so-called Japanese food restaurant in Rio de Janeiro. I asked for everything as I wanted to rated it. Nothing was worth of a single dime ! That is all I have to say.

We went here for lunch and the food was incredible. Everything ranging from the entrees to the deserts was delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I recommend the grilled oysters with papaya guacamole and the banana with dulce de leche desert.

The restaurant is nice, service is good. Food is way overpriced but quality is good. You can find better priced place than this one. Reservation does not exists, long waiting time. Overall, I do not recommend as you can find better options in the area.

Sushi Leblon has great location near many other very good places. When we arrived we were received by a host that asked us to wait for 5 minutes, the place was full. We were assigned a table that was in a dark corner, it was not a nice place for a romantic dinner. Place was full all night long. We... More

I have eaten here on various occasions, usually with clients who had heard of the place's "reputation". It was (and maybe still is) the place where the self-obsessed glitterati of Rio go to be seen eating what they think is really traditional Japanese food. This has been cleverly capitalised on by the owners who get punters in there in the... More

This posh area has some of the most famous and expensive restaurants in Brazil, along with some of the city’s best nightlife (including some places open all night).
