Since Rio is a tourist spot most of the coffee shops that serve good food are a little on the pricey side so I was delighted to find Cine cafe. The waiter who served us was very friendly, patient and helpful. He suggested the coffee...which was yummy. I wanted to order one more. We ordered pao de linguica that proved to be tasty. I am definitely coming here again to try the desserts and of course the coffee !More

Oh the one hand, a decent coffee in a small shopping center with a cinema, yet I wouldn't call it a mall. And a waiter nearly took my hand and guided me to the toilets by the cinema (must have a receipt from a business...inside the centre to get in). But the waitress forgot about my sweet. From an order of two items, leaving out one... Ahem.More

Cine Cafe & Bistro looks casual. But they serve authentic food and beverage. The owner has been sticking to "deliciousness". It's cozy and laid-back place. After shopping at Catete, it's a good restaurant to take a break. Location is very nice. It's very close to...Largo do Machado Metro station and easy to find. It's in Kinoplex Cinema building.More

We had 2 different sandwiches today. Both were really nice and freshly prepared. Prices are comparably high though being around 8€ per sandwich (~25BRL). Service was attentive but doesn't speak English.

I very much like walking around the Laranjeiras and Catete neighborhoods in Rio. They are busy but not so crowded as Ipanema and Copacabana and used to house the Presidential Palace (Catete Palace), now a beautiful museum on the Republic. The last time I was...walking around the area I came across a small galleria adjacent to a movie theater and discovered a precious hidden gem, the Cine Cafe & Bistro. I felt attracted by the theme of the place, cinema, which is very well portrayed thanks to beautiful posters and pictures of classical movies, as well as old and new movie songs in the background. My first impression was that this was a sort of snack bar but after reading the menu I realized that there was a reason the for the word bistro on the name: it has very good dinner options and, among them, steaks, filet mignon steaks, at a reasonable price. I started by eating cheese breads (several of them), in my view one of Brazil's best contributions to mankind. Then came the steak, absolutely perfect. For dessert there was a wide array of possibilities but I couldn't resist the Portuguese sweets, not that easy to find. In the end, a wonderful "cafezinho" (little coffee). My meal couldn't have been better from the food and ambiance point of view. I will most certainly go back to Cine Cafe & Bistro whenever in Rio.More

The food was okay but nothing special. I had a salad which was really poor arranged and it was completely dry since it didn't had a dressing. Very disappointing. My friend had pasta with a tomato sauce. The pasta was over cooked and the tomato...sauce needed some herbs. The service personal was somehow in a rush and none of them could speak English.More

Great service and atmosphere, good food quality, a bit pricey though. We had a green salad, vegetable soups, some Argentina pies and a portoguese red wine. Everything was tasty and nicely cooked. Would definitely recommend it.
