I was taken here by a local who uses the place all the time. That local connection meant we were welcomed warmly and went for the chicken and beer with the normal sides. The chicken in orange and herb sauces was lovely, chicken was over...More
Not quite sure what kind of people have given bad reviews. This was by far the best place we've eaten. Friendly staff with excellent service. The chicken was to die for, full of flavour. We're already looking forward to going back! Love the fact you...More
I had read about Gelato Sats online prior to visiting Rio, and was delighted when I learned that it was located only a few blocks behind our beachfront hotel. The front desk advised that we arrive early for lunch since the place is very small,...More
Saw this from travel videos and old Anthony Bourdain show. After a search, walking from C. Beach, it was closed (on a Monday?). Came back the next day in early evening---no line---got seated, ordered chicken hearts and roasted chicken. Very tasty and authentic Rio experience....More
Serving Rio de Janeiro for over 40 years, Galeto Sat's is a neighborhood spot revered for cold Beer and Charcoal Broiled Chicken, a meal for two costing perhaps $15USD and the Food served quick with crispy Fries, Egg Farofa and house Pickles all included with...More
Passed on the way from the metro to our hotel and saw all the meat barbecuing, decided to come back the next night. It’s a tiny place but the food and service are really good. Definitely recommend for a casual dinner experience.
We had the mixed meat platter of sausages, chicken & steak. It was lovely. It was very busy but we were found a table quickly. Service was good. Lots of locals eating there. Extensive menu available in English. Would recommend.

The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful
draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
