Casa Carandaí is a very nice deli with a cafe on the back. Good for take away some nice pasta, has an amazing selection of wines and the most friendly staff. The baguette here is by far the best in town, try also the fresh pão integral.

After hearing great things about this place, we've decided to give it a try! It's a super cozy place, the staff is also nice, during the breakfast they serve a buffet with breads, eggs, fruits, juices, jams and cakes - everything high quality and tasty. But I must admit it was a bit overpricing! I usually have breakfast in a... More

A perfect place to relax after exploring Rio's enormous botanical garden (exit through the Pacheco Laeo gate). Excellent Brazilian fare served in the back room of a high-end Delicatessn shop featuring Brazilian specialties. Be sure to have the Queijo com Goiabada (Cheese with with Guava jam) for dessert. The wait staff is not fluent in English, but there is an... More

This delicatessen and snackbar foolows some of the steps of the former Garcia & Rodrigues, both from the same owner. The delicatessen is very good, as well as the bakery. Nice breads. The restaurant, though, is rather simple. Service somewhat careless and too simple food and sandwiches. As a whole, overpriced.

Had a lovely afternoon tea of sorts. Excellent sandwiches, a reasonable selection of teas, but most importantly scones (they just need to import some clotted cream)! The bakery has some lovely breads too which we took home. Can't wait to go back to try some of the main courses that looked great.

This is a Bakery where you find more than just breads, the sort of good cheese, ham, and imported products. They have a very good varieties of special pates. The only think is the prices...the products are very good, but very expensive.

We enjoyed the buffet served for breakfast. Though it would have been nice with some greens and some of the bread was a bit dry, the rest was brilliant, rio standard..., and with smiley service. The premises were great.

It's a bakery/deli wine place. Really good food, but a limited menu compared to a restaurant. GREAT wines and cheeses available, once it's a wine shop, and a deli.
