I will admit right away, we showed up really hungry. The staff was friendly and welcoming - setting up a table outside for us as all tables were occupied. We ordered the veggie nachos to start as an appy and then waiting...and waited...and waited. I bet it took 30 minutes or more for a small plate of nachos. It is... More

The restaurant is small, extending out on the pavement when more guests arrive. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed it.

Visited here twice during my visit to Rio. Pineapple quesadilla the first time, second time had the veggie burrito. Both meals were good. I collect hot sauces and the hotter of the two varieties is one of the best hot sauces I've ever had. I bought a bottle for my trip home

I was warned about being robbed in rio but I never thought it would be in a restaurant! Visited here this evening for dinner with my wife we both ordered tacos which were listed as a main when they arrived they were not even the size of a small starter that accompanied by the fact the filling was tasteless and... One of our favorite spots in Rio. Spicy tacos, great sandwiches, and the drinks are fantastic. :-) Staff is also great, friendly and helpful. This place is tiny, but packs a big punch. Definitely recommended!!!

Family of five. The first two meals arrived on their own for my step-son and wife. My step-son finished his meal by the time the third meal arrived. Then, the fourth meal arrived. Then, the final meal - mine arrived. By this time, my wife had finished her meal, and the other two finished theirs after I'd taken a few... More

I really enjoyed Azteka Bistro, cozy and very friendly staff. I had lunch there with family and the food was very good with Mexicans ingredients. It is now one of my favorite places to eat in Ipanema... Thank you Azteka Bistro Rio and see you soon!!

I have known Mexican food for a while now. I also have been to several restaurants around the same block, where I live by. I can assure you that this is far from what is expected from a satisfying meal in Brazil, considering not only the overpriced amount charged, but also the fact that it does not taste like Mexican... Went for a late dinner and was greeted immediately and seated. Our server spoke English and offered us English menus. They were out of the steak tacos we ordered but she suggested the pork and they were quite good. No AC and while the candles on the table were great for ambiance, they did just add more heat.

I went here with two others for dinner and it was such a gorgeous little Mexican. From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and offered that we speak in English if we found that easier but also said if we wanted to practise our Portuguese they'd be happy to oblige. Every staff member was so warm and... More
