Excellent location, near the subway in the Flamengo district. Amazing food, great selection of dishes, fresh fish, and extremely friendly service. Fair prices. It is much better now that it has moved to a greater place on the same street. I recommend it strongly.

All the sushi dishes we ordered were delicious and well designed (attractive to the eye). Sometimes a bit too much philadelphia cheese - but apart from that we really enjoyed the food.

A small, intimate and informal place, seats perhaps 40 people, appealing to a younger crowd. The menu is varied. Had mixed feelings about the food: while quality of the fish was excellent, the rice felt a bit dull, missing in seasoning. The wasabi was way...too loose. Mixed feelings also regarding service: attentive and fast alright, but at a certain point the waiter accidentally dipped his finger in our wasabi tray, and just wiped his finger off without replacing the tray. The overall experience was alright, but there are a few things missing in order to make Mitsuo Japinha stand above your average sushi joint.More

The restaurant is tiny fitting only a few diners at a time, but this just added to the fun atmosphere. Everything we ate was exceptional and reasonably priced. It was made in front of us as we sat at the bar and the waiter was...extremely friendly and helpful even though we spoke little Portuguese. Highly recommend.More

We sat down, tables were quite too close but service was really excellent and quick. We ordered and the food arrived in less than five minutes. Price is fair, hot ones was good but I've tasted better. Sushi was delicious and fresh with a great...presentation. I would definitely recommendMore

It is a must go japanese restaurant. It is tiny in space but huge in quality! It is closed at sundays! Atention! There is always a waiting list, but it it worth waiting. Go for it.

In my opinion this is the best Japanese restaurant in Rio. It always crowded and has big lines outside the restaurant but believe me it worth the wait! It could get a little bit pricey but once again it is great!

A total of 12 chairs make up this local, surprisingly fresh sushi place. Many locals go there for takeout. Try sitting at the balcony and watch the sushi chefs do their magic A great option in Rio!

I love to call the restaurant to have sushi delivered home. It is a reasonable price for a very good quality of sushi. Plus, they deliver very quickly.

This is a tiny japonese restaurant in the Flamengo neighborhood. Inexpensive with good food and ok service. Place has only 4 or 5 tables and does not open on sundays.

This is very small restaurant, only 12 seats but the food is excellent, very delicious, tasty. There is a line in front of the door, you have to wait but it is worth. Highly recommend if you are staying very close to it. Not expensive..try...never regret.More

It is a very small sushi bar located in Flamenco. Not sure they accept reservation, I was lucky to find place and after a few minutes a long queue was waiting out of the venue to have lunch. The restaurants doesn't offer a huge choice,...but the dishes are inspiring and inviting. I don't like the Philadelphia recipes that Brazilian sushi bars overindulge in, but I found specialties without cheese that keep the Brazilian touch and were really delicious.More

This is a tiny eatery, only 12 seats,so it is always full, without knowing any Portuguese writing on menu,we look at their video and pick some basic rolls etc.being an Asian, I would say I know well what is Japanese cuisine, to me, their dishes is...just good looking closer to Japanese ,however, it lack of the soul ,perhaps they don't have sufficient Japanese ingredient in brazil.all in all, it's good for those who haven't been to Japan.- no comparison.More

There is a new branch of this restaurant in Leme (phone 021 -2541-8330) they just opened. It is very fresh, very clean, not yet very popular, but it will be, and this district of Rio called Leme missed a restaurant like this one. I would...recommend this restaurant. It's not only sushi but also they do a lot of creative rolls. I will go backMore
