Mixed feelings about the place. We truly enjoyed the location, the atmosphere, the service, the music and some of the food (in particular the patatas bravas, the cold cuts and the delicious croqueta de gambas). We were less impressed with the not very clean restrooms,...More

Instead of taking the tour bus back to the hotel, we wandered around the Ipanema district checking out the shops. We opted for a late lunch at Venga, having seen them on the drive in. While not truly a tapas bar, they had enough variety...More

Only visited this place for dessert and we were not disappointed. We ordered the churros which were fantastic if a little light on portion size. Perfectly coated with cinnamon and a delicious chocolate sauce. The place also looked busy which is usually a good sign.

Food was very tasteful. We order dados de bacalao, patatas bravas and croqueta de gambas. Everything was delicious. Very beautiful place! Service was good, waiters were very nice but a little bit distracted. Totally recommend it.

Portions are big and really are deliscious. I can’t remember what we had now but had about 5, pretty confident the majority of the menu would be just as nice as the bits we had. Not very cheap but not ridiculously expensive, just a mid...More

Great food in a lively environment. The servers were very attentive, and knew the menu well. All dishes exceeded our expectations. And they offer a variety of sangria options. Over two separate visits, we tried three of the sangrias, and all were fantastic (and very...More

Great food (particularly liked the mini tuna burgers, octopus and prawns on a skewer), great atmosphere and music, lovely view, great service. Didn’t have the paella but that looked fabulous!

Description
¡Venga! is the first Spanish tapas bar in Rio de Janeiro. Opened in 2009, it soon became a reference in the gastronomy of the city. Its concept was developed based on the identification of the Carioca spirit with the culture of the tapas, which are one of the most social ways of eating, always in small portions and sharing several dishes between friends or family. In addition, the possibility of tasting several options at the same time makes the tapas one of the most eclectic gastronomic experiences.
