Everyone from the tour group was so full we had to beg them to stop. So many delicious types of dishes to enjoy at once put my stomach on overload. Since I was in a group and most people like the meat rare some items...were to bloody for me but not to worry because here comes another dish. Unfortunately we where too full for the desserts. An excellent experience.More

Churrascaria Palace was recommended to me by a local tour guide. And she didn’t disappoint! I’ve had a long day in the airport and barely ate except for some crackers so I was famished by the time I touched down in Rio. For R $169...(Brazilian real), you get your fill of Brazilian rodizio. The buffet includes all the meats (you can scan QR code on the menu if you need it in English and order the ones you like best). Otherwise, the servers will just come to your table offering you slices of meat unless you say não. I tried all of it but the one that I had a soft spot for were the ostrich and picanha. I may get this wrong but they said “skirt steak” but didn’t see that on the menu so it must be the shoulder steak. All those juicy tenderness paired with a glass of wine (Malbec) for me was perfection. For starters, they’ll explain the menu process - basically you can order / all you can eat style when it comes to the starters, entrees, sushi and meat. Desserts and drinks are extra. I also had to try the cãju caipirinha and it was strong!! No wonder it’s the Brazil’s national cocktail! Cãju, which I only learned of today, is a cashew nut fruit originally grown in northeast of Brazil. It kind of looks almost like a flan when made into a drink - add that with sugarcane liquor / “cachaça”, sugar and fruits like lime, caju, etc and voila! You get yourself a caipirinha :) Anyway, service was superb and the people were very friendly too! Serviço “service” charge is already baked into the bill but I was surprised that with all that I ordered, I only paid $47 USD. Even though there’s a service charge included, up to you and depends on how generous you are with tipping. You will not regret going here! So happy that this was the first place I went to as soon as I landed Rio.More

When visiting Rio we have at least one dinner here. Always busy and best to book although the front of house lady will do her very best to squeeze you in if you just turn up. Buffet style starters are kept well refilled and present...a huge choice of excellent food then the skewers start coming...and coming with fabulous meat of various cuts. Somehow the servers seem to remember the ones you like best Deserts and wine are available throughout the feast. I particularly like the welcoming atmosphere, food quality and the very friendly and helpful staff. We always return to this restaurant.More

The place exceeded our expectations. Nothing compared to Fogo restaurant in US. Their pre-meat dishes were amazing, like sashimi (3-4 kinds: salmon, tuna, white fish, etc.), sushi, salads( no ceasar ), cheeses, nuts, warm dishes like seafood, rice, veggies, sausages... But then the meat came...- wow. Note that most of their steaks were medium-rare. They also bring you meat that you can specialty order, like boar or ostrich, lamb chops. The drinks are not included, but they cost like $2, $3. Amazing watermelon smoothie and lemonade. Deserts are extra, also under $7. With nonalcoholic drinks and desert prepare to pay $50 per person, which is a great deal for that type of restaurant. Make reservations. It fills up around 7pm. Kids under 13 get half off. We took Uber to and from the restaurant (JW Hotel) and it cost us $1.25 each way.More

Wow. That’s all I can say to this restaurant. The meat that came round was cooked to perfection, beautifully seasoned and delicious. The buffet is incredible. Everything from salad, to sushi and everything in between. You will not leave hungry. We’re planning on returning before...we leave Rio as we’ve not found anywhere as fantasticMore
