Avoid this rip off.
The worst ribs I’ve ever bought, the meat tasted like it was boiled 10 days ago, frozen and then boiled again for me to eat.
It was grey, tough and tasteless. Simply awful.
Then they drown it in a mediocre sauce...More
This was by far my favourite breakfast place!
The nicest people ever to work here and they deliver one hell of a breakfast! (several actually)
Don't miss a trip to Gringo Cafe! Go for Eggs Benedict and strawberry/blueberry smoothie to start your day of perfectly!
While staying in Inpanema in Rio 3 weeks in November/December 2019 we visited the Gringo Cafe several times for brunch. The scrambled eggs are to die for and both french toast and waffles can be recommended.
The bottomless coffee is a treat :-)
Loved this place so much I went back 3 times. It has a varied menu and the staff are all lovely. I had the turkey club sandwich with honey mustard the first time and it was amazing and I went back for the belly buster...More
At first, I have to admit that it’s pretty tough to find a nice place for having breakfast/brunch in Rio (for dinner it’s easy), so the Gringo Café was one of the few options that more or less convinced me. I tried the Eggs Benedict...More
I went for breakfast and it was quite nice. The staff were very attentive! Prices are not too bad and they have plenty of choice!
I went for the “bodybuilding breakfast” and my partner went for the “chicken and waffles”. They are really big portions!...More
I travel to Brazil pretty often and each time I dine at Gringo Cafe. Every visit, the food gets better and so does the service. If you’re in the mood for American style breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you will for sure want to visit this...More
As a Gringa (read: American), I can 100% recommend this place for a more american style breakfast. I've been here multiple times and have loved everything. Prices are pretty reasonable for a nice brunch. The last time I went I got a cappuccino for 6R...More
Came here almost everyday for breakfast. Everything is made at the time so it’s super fresh. Each time it was perfect and always served with a smile. I think one of the beat places around ipanema for breakfast

Ipanema is considered Rio's crown jewel. It offers the best view of the sunset from Arpoador and is inspiration for the legendary song, “The Girl from Ipanema.” Ipanema is an upscale area, home to many high-end restaurants and luxury shops, many of which can be found on the charming Garcia d'Ávila Avenue. The neighbourhood is very rich culturally, housing many art galleries that show contemporary art. There
is also a great variety of nightlife in the neighbourhood, which buzzes with many options for every taste.
