Had high hopes for this restaurant after a local recommendation and unfortunately it disappointed. We ordered a burger and a steak. To be fair the beef burger and all the sides were very good but the steak was very tough (it was replaced with a different cut of meat but that also wasn't the best). No offence to the staff... That's one hell of a burger Kobe beef. Yummy! If you are visiting Rio get some dinner there, not so cheap but worth it.

Don't order the chicken and quinoa! It wasn't anything elaborate or tasty - not for that price anyway ...food taste was ok, but I expected more because of the reviews and also because this dish was recommended.

Totally enjoy sitting outside on the deck and watching the world pass-by enjoying wonderful drinks and a delightful meal. The entire staff is excellent, helpful and always cheerful. The menu is well balanced and everything offered is wonderfully good. During our stay of 3-months we would eat here about 4 or 5 times a week. Take-out is easy and fast.....

Fabulous Food and Service. This place is as good as it gets for up-scale casual dining. the food and service are fantastic. We were visiting from the US and ate here two of the four nights we were in Rio. We tried 8 different dishes and all were excellent.

Place is very nice, staff was helpful and speaking English. The food, vine and weather make it all great. It is truly a place to go and enjoy beauty of Rio. It is or the cheapest place but quality of meals and staff make it a good deal. Highly recommended for the pleasant evening or lunch experience. Kus kus salad... More

We ate lunch at this place and it wasn't busy, but dinner can be very busy. They have some terrific appetizers (fried calamari coated with farofa (manioc) flour, empanada-like fried dumplings with beef, cheese, and seafood) and even better burgers. They have a covered patio in the front which would be great for a warm evening. Very friendly service, very... More

I visited Via Sete tonight- my last evening in Rio and am so glad I discovered this place. I was greeted warmly as I approached by Flora, the hostess. She spoke English, which was a welcome surprise. She immediately made me feel comfortable as she seated me and took my drink order. Her presence was outstanding! Next I met Claudio,... More

We loved this place whilst we were in Rio for a long weekend so ended up going with our kids twice. There is a good menu and the food is lovely. They also have some amazing fruit drinks which are best without ice. Lovely sitting outside and watching the world go by. Definitely go.

A place for hipsters, who gives value to the senses. The ViaSete was designed 11 years ago to be a counterpoint to the city noise, cement and asphalt. Innovative in essence, simple and sophisticated cuisine, is essentially Rio brand. We serve organic leafy vegetables, will grill meat, fish and poultry, avoiding fried foods and fats. However we are not radicals and believe that happiness is also freedom of choice. We use the best quality ingredients and our chefs are careful professionals who are proud to add love and a homemade touch to dishes they serve. The ViaSete is attentive to people's health and preserve the planet for future generations. We are partners of WWF-Brazil, the world's largest conservation NGOs and for over 10 years recycle cans, glass, paper, cooking oil and plastics.
