I've been going to Tratoria since I started dating my husband 28 years ago. The menu hasn't changed much, but this is a praise for me and not something to complain about since I continue to go back. Food is good, waiters are nice and helpful.

The place is crowded and noisy, adding to the Italian atmosphere. The food is plentiful and delicious! Service was average (a bit slow - to be expected in such a crowded place). Very conveniently located 1 block away from Copacabana beach. Not very cheap, though...

This small restaurant has proved its worth for at least 40 years offering generous portions of moderately priced genuine Italian food in a generally popular but small space. Well patronized by locals, always a Good. sign. Tables close but this is one of the few restaurants to use acoustic tiles on the ceiling thus vastly reducing the noise level. A... More

This is a very traditional restaurant situated in Copacabana near by several hotels. The place is a bit outdated, but the food is amazing. Try the spaghetti with shrimp. Service is also very good. The wine list is not extensive, but I am sure you can find something interesting. The menu of deserts is also nice. I was surprised that... More

We learned from Tripadvisor that this is good alternative if you stay at Copacabana Palace which is right next to it. Yes, the prices are much better but you get what you pay for. We had two plates of pasta, that were overcooked and not with much taste. We had simple wine. Go here, if you want to have a... More

Food and service were good. The tiramisu dessert unfortunately was presented in a plastic cup...not very elegant.

Excellent food quality, specializes in pasta and pizza, but you can also get excellent international cuisine. Rates are very reasonable

I have been hanging out for a pizza while on holiday and this was my chance. Did not disappoint with it being good pizza too! My wife had a gluten free pasta which was delish. The only let down was my Tiramasu coming out in its plastic container complete with lid still on. It was nice but the moment was... More

We had been recommended this restaurant by friends who had been before. We walked in without a reservation and found the restaurant pretty friendly. We had a pizza, squid, a caprese salad, two beers and a bottle of wine for around £25 which was good value.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
