Yes the menu' has italian dishes, yes the restaurant has an italian name but the oil on the table is from Chile, the bread looks italian (and they charge you for it and that is not very italian...).Mainly the quality of the food and the preparation is certainly not italian. Horrible pasta alle vongole,so salty I had to send it back and... More

This is the go-to special occasion and business meal restaurant in Rio for me and my wife. Excellent white-tablecloth service and high quality Italian food in a refined environment. Extensive wine menu, ranging from the stratosphere to pleasantly affordable. Try the codfish, broccoli and garlic pasta -- may be more of a nod to Portugal than Italy, but it is... More

Good and tasty food but to expensive. They brought us couvert (bread) and butter without asking and it was on our bill..14reals each.. we wont go again..not because of the "couvert" but there are better restaurants around copacana..and if you really want to go to an italian restaurants there is one few steps away from this one. The place is somewhat small, but it feels cozy inside. Staff were very attentive and the wine menu had a lot of variety. Had Garganelli a Boscaiola and Ravioli Funghi e Carne. Both were outstanding, pasta and ingredients were fresh and good quality. A tad expensive, but very much worth the price.

Excellent service and food. Shiitake mushrooms with truffle sauce were very tasty, as was the lasagna. We were given a generous complimentary bread basket and oil for starters, along with an antipasto plate of meats and cheese. Just a tip - this antipasto dish is added on to the bill so if you don't want to pay for it tell... More

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Excellent service from the waiters. Extensive wine list and lots of choice for the food menu too. Quite traditional Italian and we really liked that. Would recommend!

D'Amici has a lovely selection of bread and the food we had was great. My partner and I are vegetarians and we found a nice selection of pastas and salads available for us in there. Food might not be the cheapest but it is certainly good value for money given the quality.

A small Italian restaurant in Copacabana that is well run. There is an extensive menu, where the selections made by our group of six were all fine. The dining room is smallish and opens onto the kitchen, but this is no problem, as all of our selections can receive praise.
