The dish for 2 was well served, and 3 adults can eat easily. I know it's out of contest but the Olive Oil was delicious. The servers were very polite and treated us well.

Wouldn't come back to that place. Only 3 visitors (include me) were in the restaurant. Was a little bit price for old fashion place.

have you been in a very old Portuguese restaurant ? Then , tha's the place ! Never remodeled (for the last ... 40 yrs ?), the servers are as old as the restaurant however the place is very, very clean. This restaurant serves amazing seafood / fish with a decent price, and the clientele is 99% locals (cariocas) Don't miss... More

Right in the middle of Copacabana is this fish restaurant that has been around forever. On entering you just know that you're in for a treat! Fish is the speciality but the menu is large and has something for everybody not only for seafood lovers. Guided by the experienced waiter we started with a portuguese little sausage, something we had... More

This is the typical carioca old-school restaurant. Food is amazing, waiters have all been working there for ages and know the menu like the palm of their hands, the ambiance is cozy, big portions that easily serve more than one person... Highly recommended.

High quality and fresh sea food in a big, old-fashioned, traditional seafood place. It's a local's choice.

We were three people. We shared a cherne Brazilian style, and two octopuses: one with rice with broccoli, the other a "ze do pipo", alio & olio, green pepperoni, onions. Everything was great. But the octopus was perfect: so soft, really melting in the mouth.

We got this place recommended by the staff in our hotel. We asked for some place with little tourist customers and where local would go. Fantastic recommendation! I enjoy when waiters do not speak English. These Cariocas are so nice that when it comes to communicate it is fun and charming at the time. Food? DELICIOUS Will love to be... More

This restaurant has been around for over 50 years and so are many of the patrons. A local fish restaurants which reminds me of an old upscale New York Jewish Deli. Mainly locals eat here and it open all day. I had the fresh fish of the day and my friends had the fried calamari …. they consider it the... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
