Very friendly people and an excellent location!!! Since 1993. Healthy food. Nice people. Tasty meal. Close to some of the best places, close to Ipanema Beach. We recommend it. Try the whole wheat Banana/plum pie.

Still a great place for a healthy buffet lunch or supper. The food is always hot (apart from the salads of course). Lots of things I love like lentils and beans. Plus freshly cooked chicken and fish. I think the sushi might be a bit...close to the hot food. So I have it a miss this time, but it looks nice.More
Visited twice whilst on holiday in Rio de Janeiro visiting some friends. Both friends were vegetarians so this place was great for them, but it was great for me as well with some meat options available too. A great place for me to try Brazilian...food for the first time, would definitely recommend! Plates are weighed after you have filled them and then you pay for the weight of your plate. I paid 30 reals for a plate of food and canned drink which at the time would’ve been around £10 in the UK which I thought was great value for money. Would definitely recommend!More
We’ve been coming here for as long as we’ve been coming to Rio. Natural has always been the place we fall back on when we get tired of the trendy, expensive, or otherwise dull options in the neighborhood. You can always count on a healthy...meal with good juices (and fresh bottled coco water) and tasty home-baked desserts. Plus they do a good açaí that you can eat at one of the outdoor tables or take away.More
This is not a "gourmet" restaurant. It's good food for an affordable price. It has many options for vegetarians too. The only thing I know about this restaurant that makes some people not going there is that the proteins are not very well presented. But,...anyway, I always go there and it's my favorite restaurant around the area.More
Had a hard time finding vegetarian fare that was lighter on cheese in Ipanema. This place is a kilo buffet on the side of a health food store. Mostly good vegetables and fruit in the buffet. They had beans and rice without the ubiquitous hunk...of pork.More
Interesting place to eat cheap. You get a plate and fill it with the food you want. At the end you weigh it and pay for weight. About 50 reals for kilo. Caipirinha is also available here. You can ask the waiter to make it...without ice, but it is for your own risk ))))More
Per kilo buffet focused on vegetarian dishes with some vegan options as well as meats. Seasoning is Ayurvedic style and could feel bland for some. Bottles of shoyu and chili/garlic sauces are available. Pastries, fresh juices and coconut water are offered.
Really delicious 'kilo' options here. Tasty and healthy options alongside the usual offerings. Friendly staff.
In a search for a vegetarian suitable restaurant in Rio, I came across this place on TA. It was an interesting place where you fill your plate and pay by weight. It was a bit difficult to find, as there is not a clear sign...on the outside of the restaurant (attached to a natural food shop). It is also difficult to know what's going on if you don't speak Portuguese. We eventually worked out what dishes were and weren't veggie, but when we did, paid, and sat down to eat, they were quite tasty. More home- cooked style sautéed veggies and stews, typical Brazilian style filled savoury pastries, and randomly, some good looking sushi was on offer. It's a very casual place and it seemed like a place where local health nuts come for a chat with their friends.More
I remember when Restaurante Natural first opened in Rio, several decades ago. It was something new--vegetarian!--and the place was very cute, with its brick walls. The New Natural looks nothing like it. It certainly lost the charm it had, and its spaces are a bit...cramped, especially the bathroom, that, as we joked today, really encourages human contact and warmth... But I still love to have this restaurant around. Now selling food per kilo, it offers a varied menu that includes at least two types of fish (trout and panca) and some meat. There are also salads and soup, and even a sushi bar (which I never tried). At $49 the kilo, it's not cheap, but it's not the most expensive one I have seen either. So it's still worth it: it's tasty and healthy, and you can make your own plate. The coconut water is a plus: they usually have a promotion--1 for R$4 (a really good price), 2 for R$7 and 3 for R$10. I eat in different places in this area, but the New Natural is my default; it's the save haven to which I always return.More
This restaurant is alrealdy a tradicional point in Rio for people who likes healthy options for food. Located in Ipanema, the buffet per kilo is completed with not only vegetarian dishes, but also meat are for your choice.
Well priced buffet, with tasty food and a good deal of choice for vegetarians. There are also some meat dishes so there's something for everyone. Service with a smile, too.
healthy amazing choices of food, self service and per kilo price. great coconut water and killer caipirinhas
Great kilo restaurant in Ipanema! The choice of fresh foods is big - vegetarians will definitely fill up here, vegans will also be lucky! Usually the meals have signs saying what the food is! Prices are reasonable - for foods and drinks!
