The food was good, but quite overpriced. $R92 for Feijoada seemed a little steep for a traditional "slave food". Service was good. 10% service charge. Caipirinha was bargain though given it's size.

The waiters were very friendly. We were offered several additional appetizers and drinks on the house. The food was also good.

What a shame!! This restaurant has nothing to offer, except high prices. The feijoada is mediocre, the service is bored, arrogant, impatient, unhelpful. I have had many feijoadas in my life, and this is probably the worse. Beans are undercooked and tasteless, the meats were salty and dark. It works as an all- you -can-it place because waiters are supposed... More

Casa de Feijaoda This is traditional Brazilian cooking at its best. The centerpiece of the menu is the traditional stew with its many condiments, and there is also a full list of other dishes to tempt you. Be forewarned that each dish is generously portioned and totally adequate for sharing, but you may also want to order a variety especially... More

Casa de Feijoada is the one place to guarantee getting Feijoada on the menu every day of the week. It is a little pricey and a little touristy but the food is great. Just be prepared to leave about half of it based on the quantity they serve. Located in Ipanema, it is easily reached by taxi from Copacabana hotels.... More

Feijoada is not for everyone and if you do not enjoy it, or at least are not curious about it, this place is not for you. Other dishes are served but ultimately there is no point in being there, where the entire atmosphere is suffused by feijoada, unless that is the purpose. With that in mind, they serve the dish... We ordered the fish stew in coconut sauce with saffron rice. It was really delicious! The sausage they serve as appetizers were also good. It's just a little pricey and the interiors looked a bit tired. I could smell something moldy in the corner table where we were seated so we moved.

Would very much recommend.. my private tour guide brought us here for a "local" experience.. if you are there for the Sunday hippie market then this place is a no-brainer.. You start off with some bean stock soup and pieces of sausage.. then all the sides and meats.. we asked for the "noble" meat.. otherwords to ears, snouts, etc.. costs... More

I have read that it is touristy and expensive, but then I am a tourist and really wanted to taste feijoada on my first night in Rio. And it was excellent. Far too much food, one helping is probably enough for two people. Everything was good and the meat very good quality. For about €35; a cocktail and three mini... More

The only place you can find the Brazilian national dish everyday and not just on saturdays. Ask for the carne seca style and mix every condiment they bring to your liking. Start with a drink called batida de limao (Lemon cocktail) to open your appetite. They will bring too much food so be prepared (I was stuffed and the leftovers... More
