We've been coming to this bakery for over two years, and we highly recommend it. Delicious pastries..., scrumptious sandwiches...., great coffee and much much more! Make it a point to stop by when in Rio, you won't regret it!

Beautiful cakes and pastries make this place a good stop for a light bite. There is a sit-down restaurant in the back, or grab at the counter. I would make this a stop for breakfast too.

Our guide recommended The Bakers and it's definitely worth going the little way from Copacabana beach to visit. I had the best iced cappuccino and strudel while my other half had a delish slice of chocolate cake. Friendly smiley service too.

Cute, excellently decorated, you wouldn't believe you were in Copacabana beach but in a british-style cafe! Having said this, mostly locals were eating here and had a brazilian ambience with good value brunch/afternoon tea options (cakes, pastries, etc). 100% worth a visit even if for 15 minutes in between your sunbathing! Might be hard to get a table.

The Bakers was our breakfast spot in Rio. Inexpensive, good, and convenient. Couldn't be beat! They have the BEST croissants, too. Plus, free WiFi.

This is a great candy shop very well located in Copacabana. There are many options of coffee, hot drinks, hot chocolates. You`ll find many types of salty and sweet pies. The sweet pies are the bests, it`s going to be difficult to choose the one you want. The pies are beautiful and you can ask for a slice or buy... More

The Double Deluxe Breakfast is very good and big with a wide range of things like scrumbled eggs, Croissantes, fresh Organe juice, Coffee, Cake and ham&cheese Selektion! You get really a lot for your Money! Great Breakfast Place but no opportunity to sit outside. Staff and Service are very friendly.

I'm in Rio de Janeiro for a week with my students from Jamaica and we are staying at the Mirador Hotel in Copacabana! On one of our many walks through the city we ran into this cute shop called The Bakers! We were attracted to the cakes we saw on display! We went inside and of our six nights stay... More

A couple of block from the ocean. The restaurant is often packed during peak hours. Not a lot of tourists here.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
