We walked by this restaurant on our way from our apartment to the Siqueria Campos Metro stop during our Olympics stay in Rio and were tempted by the displays of cakes and pastries. On a day with a break from events we stopped in and enjoyed a late lunch with son having a chicken Caesar salad, husband a chicken Caesar... More

Great place for cakes. Popular spot always jam packed with people. Place bakes its own stuff and bought some great tasting biscuits to take home.

The Bakers was a block away from our apartment during our Olympics visit. It quickly became our to go breakfast/snack spot. The croissants and pastries are delicious. Coffee is nice and strong. There's plenty of breakfast options such as omelets or waffles. While the majority of the staff do not speak English, there is a gentleman there who speaks very... More

This Bakery was close to our hotel and we went several times. Each time found the service very slow whether we had sit down service or take out...take out took over 20 minutes for 2 cappuccinos and 2 pastries and there was no line up! The food is very good though... lots of variety from eggs, waffles, sandwiches, pastries, cakes... More

Conveniently located and great service. I had the best iced cappuccino I've ever tasted! Just a shame I only discovered this place on my last day - otherwise I would have visited every day. The place has recently been expanded - not surprising as it's an absolute gem. Highly recommend this to anyone!

I just ate here and i honestly couldn't find anything wrong with the place. The food was really good, the service was fast, and the prices are not bad either. If you are looking for a good place to eat breakfast don't think twice and come to the bakers because you wont be disappointed. We will definitely be coming back... More

Great atmosphere, delicious food, great service, French bakery influence and coffee which can never be a bad thing. Good vegetarian options which can be a challenge around Rio. I have already been back.

Not a breakfast place. No tomato, mushrooms, bacon salmon or spinach anywhere to be seen. Ordered a cappuccino and omelette after all the great reviews. Cappuccino was covered in cinnamon with chocolate sauce in the actual coffee, disappointing for a coffee lover. Omelette was just egg fried with a slab of cheese and ham put on top and halved. Edible... More

Soo tasty...Was so impressed by the look of the ladies cake next to us and the menu, we returned for dinner.. Hot soup,... More

Great food and service! Couldn't fault it. We visited The Bakers 3 times during our holiday in Rio and I was not let down once. I would definitely recommend

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
