Established in 1894, Confeitaria Colombo is a beautiful example of art noveau architectural style. It is a must go if you are in downtown Rio.

Going to Confeitaria Colombo makes you feel like going back in time. Everything has a luxurious appearance, as you would imagine a tropical colony restaurante decorated to serve the metropolis gentleman. The time passed though. The building seems a little wore off, but the food...More

Beautiful interiors and atmosphere - well worth it for the experience alone, however we also enjoyed the food - a decent vegetarian range to include cheese pies and palm heart dishes. Lovely cakes too!
