It is a must to visit Confeitaria Colombo. Ot is wonderful! I recommend both the snacks and the portuguese sweets. Go with time and enjoy the place and the food! A must in Rio!!!

Very tasty treats in a very atmospheric setting - definitely worth a pit stop! We sat down for our feast but you can also easily eat at the counter or take away.

Completely worth queueing for, we went on a Sunday and the queue was not as long as usual but we still waited probably for about 40 minutes. However, the coffees and pastries were completely worth it, the nicest thing I have ever eaten. We got...More

This "coffee and sweets house" has an attractive interior which is well worth visiting. For the food, I suggest you just take away a savoury or a sweet. In this way you will avoid queueing and too pricy food in the restaurant. You can, however,...More

Awesome interior and decor. Well worth the wait for a table but the prices are high for the area. The Columbo Burger is the best I ever had.

Beautiful old building - exquisitely finished inside - serving a delicious range of cakes & beverages - definitely worth the 20 minute wait for a table and probably the best afternoon tea in Rio! There’s also a gift shop and restaurant on the premises.

Visited this place while in Rio and I have to say the pastries were really tasty and reasonably priced. A welcome surprise in central Rio, a must for cakes and coffee!

We shared cheese tarts, strawberry tarts and a coffee eclair with coffee as we enjoyed the beautiful, historic cafe. The cheese tarts were too low of a cheese to pastry ratio, but at least the pastry was good! It is well worth a stop to...More

Downtown Rio is the place where this city was born.
With modern skyscrapers sharing space with historical
buildings and landmarks, this neighbourhood is living
proof that the old and the new can live together
harmoniously. As you would expect, downtown is where
all major companies house their offices. However, the
region isn’t restricted to businesses. Gems such like
the “Paço Imperial,” which is a cultural centre that
