On the same street, meters apart, there are two restaurants from this chain. This one looks more imposing but is specialized in pizzas, sandwiches, bread, anything that can go into their wood stove. They do have some main dishes on the menu, pasta, some fish and beef dishes, but I do believe that those options are better made on the... More

Visited here on a Sunday evening. Unfortunately they did not have a menu in English, which is fine as we are not in an English speaking country but the waitress continued to speak fluently in Portuguese even though she clearly knew we didn't understand her. The service she provided was very poor, we had to ask to order drinks, ask... More

My experience at this restaurant was awful! From the minute we walked in the service was begrudging. The waitress appeared put out to have customers. No English menus, which is fair enough but once the staff knew we didn't speak Portuguese but for a few key phrases they seemed to go out of their way to speak in quickly spoken... More

pastas dishes are too expensive for the quality. The service is good. The salads and sandwiches are nice but also too expensive.

We stopped for breakfast. Service was not the greatest even though we were one of two groups in there. The menu for lunch and dinner looks good and the quality of the food we had was fine. The breakfast options are very bready or very big (including pastry, bread, coffee, granola, tapioca pancake and omelette). Ok value for money. Easily... More

As soon as we arrived we were visited by a family of 5 flying cockroaches. We asked to change tables and they did it, but not before doing annoyed faces... Finaly my grilled garlic shrimp pizza arrived... but without garlic and the shrimp was not cooked. It was suposed to have zucchini, sicilian lemon and gana padano but neither of... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant whilst exploring the streets of Ipanema and decided to stay for dinner. We found food to be of a high standard and the staff very accommodating.

We ate a set lunch for R$ 42 each in the Italian restaurant yesterday, but ordered different entrees. The Caesar salad was terrible--a scoop of finely chopped lettuce with bacon bits dressed in some sort of cream sauce. Neither of us ate it. The tilapia and risotto entree was delicious. The gnocchi with cheese sauce strewn with bacon pieces was... More

Came here for lunch, food was good, the fish was very good. I would say it is among the better places to eat of what i experienced in Rio but not outstanding. Not the cheapest place but that was expected.

One of the first pizza places to use the DOC (certified origin) term, Alessandro & Frederico Pizzaria seduces because of the huge amonth of ingredients and care on the way they bake the pizza. Gennaro Cannone is the pizza man in charge of the recepies, and uses real ingredients from Italy to make their wood stove pizzas.
