Ate here last night and it was great. We had to book ahead as it was very busy. There's limited choice which seemed to put some people off but what they do, they do well. The waiter was friendly, attentive and helpful when choosing wines. Worth a visit. With the live music, it's an easy place to spend a few... More

After arriving in Paraty from Ilha grande in the dark we weren't sure where to go but headed straight out to have a browse of numerous restaurants for dinner in the historical centre. Just off the Main Street we saw the sign to Porto. We were drawn to it due to its decor, music (a discreet pianist playing classics) warmth... More

We stumbled across this restaurant (given the cobbled streets of Paraty, one tends to 'stumble' across most things!) one particularly rainy night and were instantly drawn in by the fantastic live music (a dulcet piano player ) and extremely welcoming waiter Elias. The menu was certainly unique and, after starting with a delicious selection of breads accompanied with roasted garlic,... More

This place really is a tourist trap. The quality of food is low, service slow and they add an optional charge on the bill for the piano playing which I am opposed too. I was unable to eat my main due to the strange and overpowering taste so I left hungry. Avoid.

We choose that restaurant because there was a pianist playing nice Bossa nova songs and because the antique decor all together created a romantic ambiance. We tryied the apetizer to share with the olive tapenade and the caramel idée garlic, it was so good. My husband had some meet that was cook rare just like he prefer and I had... More

As we walked through the gorgeous streets of Paraty (not for the first, or last time), we spotted this charming little restaurant, perfectly lit and exuding smooth jazzy sounds. As we’ve been to most of the restaurants in town, we ventured in, the atmosphere was as promised, warm, welcoming and worthwhile, or was it? our mistake was to order, the... More

This is a lovely spot. The interior is vey nice and they have great live music. We went the first night and there was a jazz saxophone player. The music was not loud and the jazz was good. The food and service waqs excellent too. We enjoyed it so much, we went back the following night. This time there was... More

The overall experience was very poor. We were attracted by the lovely setting and an interesting menu. Unfortunately the food was poor, extremely poor given the price of the food. We ordered the beef carpaccio starter. When it arrived it had been cooled to such a low temperature that it was frozen in the middle. When we queried this with... More

Beautifully decorated restaurant in the centre of Paraty. We had the grilled crab starter which was delicious and the fish (robalo/snook) Carmen Miranda! With that name I had to - lovely white fish with mango a sweet and sour taste, with leek risotto. Great local Paraty wheat beer (Cabore). A really wonderful, atmospheric restaurant with great service. Live piano music... More

Great atmosphere, wonderful piano music, good service BUT when the most important ingredient - FOOD was sorely lacking....we had lobster - pricey and opted to change the risotto for pasta - mistake. We were disappointed with pasta - simple spaghetti w/ cherry tomatoes - bland and tasteless - totally disappointing for price....and still can't figure out why a chef that... More
