Very nice restaurant, an exquisite fusion of flavors, careful service, comfortable, good caipirinha, spirits and wines but very expensive.

Arrived late at night in Paraty and went to the first restaurant we could find. What luck that we landed at Banana de Terra! We shared a fabulous bottle of Chilean chardonnay while feasting on grilled fish on a bed of Brazilian "potato", an arugula and mountain greens salad, and ceviche. The decor is lovely and I highly recommend!

The restaurant is very well located and decorated. The food was top notch and the service was way above average. We all had different dishes and they were all amazing. The appetizers they served were also a highlight. To top it all off, we had this local beer called Caboré, which made everything extra charming and delicious.

We didn't eat here at the menu was really expensive. I have posted pictures of it so you can see - far over priced for us. I'm sure the food is good but wanted to give others warning before booking

The service here is courteous and professional. A good selection of wines and some beers. Although wine by the glass is not available, half bottles are. The menu has a good variety, I enjoyed a delicious oxtail stew. The couvert dishes were also enjoyed.

On a rainy evening in Paraty we had a delicious meal: fried cheese balls with pepper jelly followed by fish with pupunha heart of palm and parsnip puree and a fish and shrimp stew au gratin on a bed of manioc puree. Very tasty. Attentive service. Dessert was a disappointment--rather over-the-top presentation but lacking flavor. A great wandering minstrel trio... More

Contemporary Brazilian food restaurant. Everything was tasteful: starter, main course and desert. The desert was a master piece, beyond beautiful was delicious. Even the dishes are a work of art in that restaurant. It seems that all was carefully chosen to be there and really makes the difference.

The menu was very interesting so I had a lot to choose from. Waitress recommended the fish with lemon pepper crust which came with an artichoke risotto. Couldn't really taste the pepper cause the crust had a very sharp lemon tang, but combined with the creamy risotto, it made a good combination. Risotto was very, very good. Portion is small-ish...
