Excellent food and service . The lunch (sea bass with palm heart sauce) was delicious but the highlight was the location. It is well off the beaten track and there are no signs, but if you persevere you will reach this lovely small gite located on the top of a hill in the forest next to a waterfall. We are... More

Me, my wife and 4 year old son went to this restaurant in our last night in Paraty. We couldn't have made a better choice! The restaurant is quite far from Paraty, in the midltdle of a beautiful jungle and then there is a set of stairs sorrounded by torches. So getting to the place is an experience by itself... More

Driven here by our host from Casa Mar Paraty for lunch, we had a beautiful drive into the forest ( jungle ). A clmb up some stairs while admiring the vegetation and enormous trees, we wound up at the main house , charmingly set up like a lodge. With some wonderful music playing ( Ali Farka Touré from Mali), we... More

We booked a table to celebrate the birthday of my daughter, we arrived little late(we booked at 8:30 PM and arrived 9:00 PM) . The owners were not friendly, thay sent us back and even offered us a glas of water.

Not easy to reach as the restaurant is located on a mountainside about a 15-20 minute drive off the main highway. Nevertheless -- it is a beautiful setting if the weather is clear and worth the trip. The views are stunning and Olivier and Valeria (the owners) were an absolute delight to meet and talk to. Not to mention, the... More

Not easy to reach, as it is in the middle of the forest, but really worth a visit. Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere. You can walk around it the forest or swim in the nearby waterfall. The menu is not big, but everything freshly cooked and delicious.

You easily feel at home in this restaurant which in fact is the home of the couple. He is French and she is Brazilian. The Menu shares characteristics of both countries. They made us feel comfortable and part of the family! Food is amazing! Don’t forget that you will need reservations. Completely worth it!

We've stayed for 2 nights and also had dinner both nights - no regrets! It's perfectly located only a couple of minutes from the main road close to Paraty but feels like deep in the jungle. We went to the nearby beaches during the day and came back just in time before the sauna got heated up followed by a... More

I ate with my wife here in 2011, and enjoyed it immensely, and chose to return with my wife and parents visiting from the UK in September 2012. The hosts, Olivier and his wife Valerie are warm and welcoming, and I envy their lifestyle - they clearly love the place, and take great pride in their cuisine and at being... More
