Great local fish restaurant! Very welcoming, clean and good atmosphere to have a conversation with your date. Dinner was fresh and tasty and portions were more than ample. Can’t wait to make this restaurant one of my traditions when I return to Curitiba!

Disappointing as I was recommended by many locals that this establishment was the leading seafood eatery in the city, The fish stew ( moqueca ) had little flavour and inspiration that you often find in those based on North Eastern recipes, the camarao milanese (deep...fried prawns) was very average, and the fish of the day recommended by the waiter (when he finally arrived), was not good at all. Though they say traditional restaurant, i would describe it more as old, and in urgent need of a refurb. Not impressed at all.More

Very good seafood in Curitiba, which is not known for quality and fresh seafood. But Bar do Viktor stands out with good food and good service.
A traditional seafood restaurant located in a nice area from Curitiba, frequented by families, locals who know the place. They have always fresh food, served on traditional ways for southern Brazil. We got a very nice table, although if you are arriving after 12:00 its...better to make a reservation. We went with some locals to this restaurant for dinner on a Friday night. None of the waitstaff spoke English, and our friends were able to help with most of the menu, but the owner quickly came to our rescue! He recommended a cod dish...not on the menu, which was very tasty and the presentation was lovely.More
Since I know most of the people from Curitiba already know this restaurant, I'll write this review in English, so our tourists can understand a little bit of the great experience it is to eat there. There is no other word to describe their food...but DELICIOUS. Their appetizers and entrées are awesome! In my opinion, there is no better place to sea food here in Curitiba. Their food chain (they have 5 restaurants around town, and each of them has a different intent) is around 40 years old. It is a great restaurant for lunch or dinner; family, romantic, friends or business meals. Yes, it is true that, for some people, it might be a little bit expensive. I say it is worth it. One should not regret spending some money to eat their delicious food. My personal recommendations? Casquinha de Siri (deep fried crab cake) as an appetizer and Linguado da Mama for the entrée (flounder fillet, hearts-of-palms shrimp alfredo sauce, some tiny potatoes and rice). I have those whenever I get a chance to go there. But anything in their menu is great!More
Bar do Victor is an institution .. and well deserved .. we normally go there at the weekend, when often we have to wait for a table .. but not to worry, it is all very casual and there are seats for those waiting -...you can order aperitivos and drinks while waiting, it is all part of the atmosphere .. Once seated you have a delicious menu to choose from .. the service is incredibly efficient, with waiters using iphones to send your orders to the kitchen .. It is not a sophisticated establishment, but I can't recommend it enough, it is honest, good food at a reasonable price. Not quite spit and sawdust - definitely more sophisticated than this - but absolutely not pretentious ...More
Top seafood. It is also nice if you are in a big group. Several good combos with shrimps and fishes. Also the starters are delicious.
I know the other Victor restaurants and consider this one the very best. Best seafood in Curitiba, kind service, it's always been a very good choice.

Wonderful place for eating fish and other types of food. This restaurant is very traditional at Curitiba. On weekends get early there to get a table, otherwise you will wait in line...but it really worths it.
Very nice and charming atmosphere with good selection of sea food options - suggest the Brazilian river fish Pacu special.
Bar do Victor is my favourite seafood restaurant in Curitiba. They offer a wide selection of dishes. All of them are excellent. The wine list is very good with some very good Portuguese white wines at affordable prices.
