Stopped here after a rafting trip and were famished. The helpings were large and the BBQ fantastic. Even with outside seating only or take out due to the current climate was very comfortable. The service was quick and the drinks well mixed. Worth a trip...back when I am in the area again.More
We visit Al and Carol as often as possible, and always have something to eat. The menu is LOADED with great food choices, and if you’re in the mood for “smoke”, the Bar-B-Q is really delicious! We’ve Also enjoyed the Friday fish fries. The last...time we visited was a Saturday evening, after the 5:30 Catholic mass right across the street (how convenient!), and we left with a full belly! We ordered specialty sandwiches and sides, and shared, but the longer we were there, the Bar-B-Q aroma was tempting us to order MORE! Al and Carol have been there for almost 3 decades and they really know their food and drinks! Very spacious bar and dining area...perfect for a couple or a large group.More
Big menu, and it's all very good. BBQ and smoked specials..worth checking out. Friendly, family run business, and it's not unusual for the owner to be holding someone's baby so they can enjoy their meal! Sunday breakfast and Bloody Mary's are a good time and...place to catch up on news with friends. Hot,homemade donuts are pretty much the icing on the cake!More
We were snowmobiling and stopped here for lunch. They were so friendly when we walked in. Welcomed us like it was their home. Sat at the bar with so locals who were also just as friendly. Ordered the brisket sandwich. Oh my gosh awesome! It...was soooo tender and smokey. They serve home made bbq sauce on the side, but the sandwich was so good on it's own that I only sampled the sauce, which was excellent though. The owner takes a lot of pride in smoking all the different cuts of meat himself. (He makes smoked bacon, gotta go back and try that). Also had the chicken dumpling soup, which I would definitely have again. There are a lot of different options on the menu so we'll need to find an excuse to come back. If you are anywhere near this place make a point of stopping. You won't be sorry.More
