Came in after rafting the Peshtigo and had a fantastic meal! These are probably the best fried cheese curds I ever had. The burgers and fries were also very delicious. A good beer selection to choose from. Staff was very friendly and food came out fast/fresh. Recommended.

The food was amazing, when we arrived we found out there was a guest chef! It was the perfect ending to a great tubing trip!

We ate breakfast here and the portions were filling. Everything tasted home cooked and it was served fast.

While the food is great, expect to wait a long time to be served. We've gone several times when it was not busy and waited at least 90 minutes for our food. If you are not a regular the bartender is not real friendly.

This review is for the cabins only, tho i know the restaurant/bar gives a nice dose of Northwoods hospitality... Anyway i managed to reserve one of the riverside cabins mid-week for our (me and my 2 tween/teen boys) rafting trip with Kosir's. The cabins are in a GREAT location--surrounded by trees, overlooking the beautiful Peshtigo River, and very convenient to Kosir's Rafting.
The cabins themselves are rustic and look to be fairly old...perhaps built in the 1940's or 50's? Ours had 2 bedrooms---one with a full bed, and the other with bunkbed, with full sized mattresses, which was pretty nice..... The beds were also very comfortable...we slept great in them. The screened in porch even had a coupla beds too! It was also furnished with a kitchen and bathroom, and a nice-sized common room.... It also had a heater, which came in handy, since the mornings were pretty cool...
I do have a few minor complaints, however... The entire cabin was painfully dark...even in the bright sunshine, with the shades and door open, and all the lights on, it was still pretty dark inside.... At night, i needed a flashlight to look thru my stuff.... If they'd install soft white, 100+ watt equivalent LED bulbs throughout, it would make a big difference at almost no cost.... Also, the bathroom was pretty rough around the edges...could really use a gut rehab.... And finally, while there was plenty of dishware (actually, pretty nice Pyrex stuff) to accommodate 8 or 10 guests, there were only a few glasses...didn't matter to us because there were only 3 of us, but if you have a large group, you might wanna bring a few paper cups....same with cookware.... Our cabinets were almost devoid of pots, pans and bowls.... Again, not an issue for us since i brought some of my own stuff.....
It should also be noted, there is no Wi-Fi...or cell service. My boys had a rough time with this, but i thought it was great to be disconnected....not a complaint in my book for sure!
The minor complaints aside, these cabins are great for Northwoods enthusiasts, and for $110/night (summer, mid-week), it's not a bad deal... And the folks working the restaurant were very friendly.

After our morning funyaks trip with Kosir's we ate lunch right there. The service was a bit slow but food was good. They serve a variety of burgers, fries, and typical Wisconsin food. It's a convenient place to get lunch.

Rapids is the perfect place for a sandwich & a beer. You can't beat the Thursday $1.25 burgers and the home-made fries. If you're not up for burgers, the Thursday spaghetti special is great too. The atmosphere is relaxed and the view of the river is pretty.

We go to Rapid's Resort all the time and it never disappoints. Their "weekend warrior" bartender who works all weekend is amazing and very friendly. Their food is great and they have great deals. One suggestion for them would be to add a few more fries to their baskets, sometimes there are not very many. They have great breakfast options on the weekends also!
