Located in Joao Pessoa, this is a very large buffet restaurant with a ridiculous number of choices but almost no vegetables. There is also a salad bar with dressings. There are a large number of desserts to select from also. You are given a card with a number on it when you enter and you pay for the weight of... More

Mangai was the first restaurant that friends and colleagues took me to right after my arrival in João Pessoa. They couldn't wait to have me taste authentic Northeastern Braziianl food, so we went here on my first day in the city for lunch. The restaurant offers a huge buffet. Even though I will be here for five months, I don't... More

Great idea of offering typical food from the Northeast, but very expensive for good but not extraordinary food. Well done, nice experience, but absolutely no must-do

This is a place of local foods and traditions. Our local friends took us and ordered, awesome food. If you go without a friend just ask the waiter for what they like best. All the food is so tasty.

I'm an European and it was a special opportunity to taste the dishes of Northern Brazil, especially loved beef, fish, fruits of the sea and lot of vegetables and fruits and soups. The surroundings seemed for me authentic with the traditional clothes of the waiters and waitresses, the decoration with many kind of natural elements. Even more impressing when someone... More

Parking is tough in the lot adjoining the restaurant, but there are more spaces on the side street just past it. And from the crowd coming and going, it's easy to see how popular this place is. Not speaking Portuguese, we had to try to figure out the process for ourselves, but here it is for you: upon entry, each... More

Even living in Campina Grande, I used to drive with my family in some special occasions to meet some friends in João Pessoa and go to Mangai for lunch or dinner. There we find many food options in the self restaurant section, from salad vegetables to cheeses, pasta, meat, fish, among others, most of them prepared with typical Brazilian northeast... More

I'm brazilian from the northeast of Brazil and I love the regional food. The restaurant works in the style "self-service", so you make your own dish with the many options you find in the buffet. It might be really different for foreigners, but for me is delicious.

The restaurant is self-service (pay-per-weigtht) and provides an impressive variety of local dishes. Price is a bit high. Table service could be improved.
