We had a party of 4 and arrived at 8:00 p.m. for dinner as the restaurant we were planning on eating at could not serve food that night as their hot water went out. We each ordered a glass of wine and then placed our dinner order a short time later. We were all looking forward to a steak dinner... More

The Bistro was suggested by a local resident and we arrived early for diner. I ordered a salad with spring greens, vegetables and choice of dressing and grilled Cajun chicken for $12. It was large and very good. I took some with me in the recyclable box they provided. Service was excellent. I will return when I am in area... More

I called the day before to alert the restaurant that eight of us would be meeting there at 11:00 AM the next day. When we walked in, they were all set up for us, and immediately added another setting when I told him we were nine. Every one of us was happy with our food. Several ordered the special that... More

As a frequent visitor to Ashland I cannot say enough about this amazing gem of a restaurant . Paul and his staff welcome us as old friends every time we visit! The menu uses local organic foods including the spices as they are available seas only. Often there is live music to accompany the local artists on the walls and... More

After months of wanting to try this bistro, my husband and I finally decided to give it a go. We went there Sunday afternoon, around 1:30. The restaurant was pretty empty other than a harpist in the corner, a bartender, and three people at the bar. We were hoping for lunch but found out they only had brunch. The brunch... More

Calm atmosphere. Not quite the moon (obscure reference). Food good. Decor above normal. No dead animals staring down with judgement in their glass eyes.

I stopped Saturday evening about 6:30. Live harp music was relaxing and enjoyable. Not real busy so I sat at the small bar. Nice selection of higher end liquors, wines, and some craft beers. Menu included soup, salads, sandwiches, and a meal menu after 5:00 PM. I had Hoisan braised pork. Nice sized portion served with sweet potatoes and broccoli.... More

My daughter and I decided to have lunch here as this was the only non-fast food choice with real food. We were not disappointed. I had read the reviews about poor service but we experienced just the opposite. The gentleman who was our server was polite and friendly, a bit busy but to be expected over the lunch hour. We... We went to 2nd Street Bistro to celebrate my last day of "50 anything", as the following day was my 60th birthday. It could have been my last supper, and I would have gone on a happy girl!! Don't let the exterior fool you, as the food inside is as wonderful as the outside is deceiving. We arrived for dinner... More

Lovely, quaint cafe/bistro. Not cheap, though. Expect to pay a higher price for higher quality. That said, the food was fantastic; however, I must agree with another reviewer on the service. Not because it was slow (it wasn't) but the waiter (owner? bartender?) seemed very aloof. He greeted a couple of regulars warmly enough (I recognized one of them from... More
