We went to Restaurant Casa Do Ouvidor on the advice of our driver. It was very busy and we waited about 20 minutes to get seated. The wait staff almost seem to ignore us and about half the tables. It took 20 minutes and 3 times asking to get our drinks after we ordered. It was almost if we were... More

We don't like tourist buffets, so our guide brought us here for an a la carte lunch, and it turned out to be very good. We chose one of the local Minas Gerais specialities, the tutu a mineira, which is the sort of food you need if you are down a mine all day! Rice, mashed beans, chopped greens, a... More

Just a regular restaurant with local food. Nothing special or memorable. Food is just ok and a little bit expensive. Service is ok.

We went here based on a Lonely Planet recommendation and were not disappointed. Lonely Planet said the portions were immense and they were not lying. We ordered the Feijoada Tropical - and it was huge. Delicious food and fantastic service. Also great coffee. Highly recommend.

The local food is an important part of the history of Brazil . It is a typical Brazilian food, served in abundance and flavor. It is therefore need to be very hungry , and they shall be to you too much food even . There is Feijão Tropeiro (a tipical beans) and frango com quiabo.

Classic Brazilian food! Cold beer! Very fresh ingredients! Great location in the center of town, very clean. Supposedly the best in town. We enjoyed it.

This is an upscale restaurant for Brazilan standards with not so upscale prices. It is situated on tne first floor of a building; therefore you have to look for a single door which leads to a staircase. The waiters are attentive and courteous. The menu covers all (domestic) tastes. We had a window table but the view is very limited... More

Nice place, you can choose brazilian typical food of the Minas Gerais and other options. It is cheaper a dish for 2, than either one choose a dish. It is in the Historic Centre, near from Tiradentes square.
