We just had a GREAT meal at OB’s Brau Haus. I started with their Hefe Weiss beer which was perfect as usual. ThE Reuben soup was as tasty as I remembered it. I followed with the Jaeger Schnitzel, my husband had Schnitzel a la Holstein....We both had red cabbage. Both were delicious, this is German cooking at its best. We didn’t have room for desert. Our server was prompt, cheerful & professional. It had been years since we dined there, we’ll be back soon!More

Being retired military, I have been to Germany countless times. This place has excellent food that tastes just like food in Germany. Jaegerschnitzel is my favorite. The beer is also authentic.

First, only one employee in the entire place was wearing a mask - thankfully it happened to be our server. The hostess, bartender, other servers, and even the owner were not wearing masks. Second, I ordered a vegetarian entree, and was told that it comes...with soup. However, we had already been told that the 2 soup choices were both meat-based, so I asked if I could substitute a vegetable, but was told that "they won't let us do that." I asked if they couldn't just replace the soup with green beans or a little salad or something, but was told again that it was not possible. Seriously people? It didn't occur to anyone that vegetarian entrees should not be served with meat sides??? Other than that, the food, beer, and wine were all good. I would go back if they could figure out the whole vegetarian thing - after I get a Covid vaccination, that is, since they don't care about wearing masks.More

My wife and I both had two different schnitzel dishes. Both were excellent and comperable to the same dishes we had when we were in Germany. My wife especially liked the red cabbage kraut. I have the cheesy spatzel as my side. I thought it...had a bit too much cheese-but still very good. A very nice place.More

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. Seating is limited so probably should call ahead. Low light atmosphere made for a great romantic dinner. Food was incredible and service was friendly. True German restaurant. Definitely recommend.

I was looking for German restaurant and OB was close to my hotel. It turned out to be fun stop. The place is both sit down and a bar. I was by myself and sat at the bar with the usual customers. They had authentically...made German style beer which was amazing. You can get a half liter and larger sizes. I hade several flavors and was very pleased with all. I ordered the weiner schnitzel with spaetzle. The schnitzel was nicely thin and covered the entire plate. Awesome meal. The service was super and helped me as a new customer explaining beers and food. We were able to talk on a light traffic night. Everything came very fast and hot.More

Hadn't been here in a few years so my wife and I went for dinner. They have many choices with many authentic German foods. I got the sauerbraten, spaetzle, & red cabbage. My wife got fish. My meal was excellent! The sauerbraten was tender. Spaetzle...was homemade and yummy with the gravy from the sauerbraten. My wife's fish was done perfectly: not dried out or heavy coating. Dessert offerings looked great but after our meals, no room. We will be back!More

I went there for a bratwurst or a similar Wisconsin meal. The bartender suggested the blackened primed rib, the daily special. It was terrible. It had the consistency of a sponge and no taste. Some parts of unchewable fat. The check included $2 more for...the “blackened” feature. Other meals looked better but were overpriced.More

Came with my family of 6 for Friday Perch. Appeared to be Lake Perch which is good. Nice sized portion of three butterflies with German fried potatoes which was also good for $12.95. They focus on German food which looks good with reasonable prices.

We continued our Fish quest here on a Friday night after hearing good things about the fish. Now this place is not typical Wisconsin Fish Fry Joint. They serve mainly German Food. I had the haddock and perch. It was great but i liked the...haddock better than the perch. They put a nice german flair on the fish fry serving red cabbage, several potato options (i had the puffs-i can't remember the real name) and reuben soup. The beer and service was also very good. The OB Brew Haus shot up our rankings to number 4 on our fish fry quest.More

OB's has been around for a long time and I truly don't know why I haven't been there before, but after my recent visit, I am definitely going again. My friend ordered the OBBC Pilsner, which is a light golden lager. He really liked. I'm...not an adventurous beer drinker so I opted for a glass of wine. We decided to start with an appetizer and opted for feta cheese meatballs with garlic cucumber sauce. I could have eaten a whole plate of those meatballs. And the sauce was scrumptious. We both had soup. My friend had the clam chowder. That is one of my favorite soups so I took a taste. It was by far the best clam chowder that I've ever had. The broth (unlike at most places) had very flavorful clam taste. I had the rueben soup, which was excellent too. For my entree I had the Jaeger Schnitzel with spaetzle. The schnitzel was covered with a wonderful mushroom and white wine sauce. My friend ordered the Tomato Cream Schnitzel with potato croquettes. The schnitzel was baked with ham and cheese and finished with a tomato cream sauce and parmesan cheese. I had a taste of the croquettes which were delicious. The entree portions are very generous and it's difficult to stop eating because it tastes so good. I'd like to add that the staff is very friendly and very helpful. We asked many questions and she was very accommodating. I'm definitely going to eat at OB's again!More

I believe that the owner and his wife are German nationals. She was our server during our last visit there.
