We are big fans of Mark's East Side. Started dinner with a Moscow Mule, and followed with the best French onion soup. You can't go wrong with any of the entrees, but I love the Jaeger schnitzel, red cabbage, and spaetzle. My husband swears by the rib eye. Save room for dessert!!

We visited here after a family function. There were 14 in our party. Plans were made in advance for our arrival. Everything was just perfect. Food, beverage, appetizers, all were top notch. I could tell by the others arriving for lunch that this was indeed a popular place. I can find nothing to complain about with this establishment.

Great food and always a friendly staff. It's nice to have a variety to chose from for lunch instead of just the sports bar standard fair. Today the roasted potato and red pepper soup was perfect.

Did a general search for steakhouse and this popped up and I was intrigued by the "German" and "a lot of beers". I wasn't sure what to expect since the exterior was unassuming. What a pleasant surprise! A nice blend of old school lounge with new school components. And wow, what incredible service. Bartender introduced herself right away, remembered my... More

What a great restaurant that made me so happy to live in WI again. I eat a mostly plant based diet but once in awhile I crave a good burger. This hit the spot. My hubby had the pork hock with spaetzle and kraut and red cabbage. He loved it. We also tried the sauerkraut balls and my Old Fashioned... More

Sheri K was an awesome server. We were seated right away. We decided to eat off the German menu. I ordered the Holstein. My husband had the hock. Wonderful food. We took German chocolate cheesecake to-go. It was also really, really good. Has to be one of the best meals I have ever had.

I've been to Mark's East Side for dinner, lunch, and group events, eaten many things on the menu, and it has always been excellent! The service is also very good. I will continue to go back and enjoy what they have to offer.

First time visiting here. We came because we heard they had german food so we really wanted to try it out. We both ordered schnitzel and it was good, not great, I've had better, but something I would still come back for. Liver dumpling soup was good as well. Our waitress was also very attentive, nice, and informative.

I've heard about this place for years but never ate there. We live about 45 minutes away and don't eat in Appleton that often and there are literally hundreds of choices in the area. We celebrated a family birthday and Appleton was a good meeting place for everyone in our group. They took our reservation several days in advance and... More
