For a Wisconsin Supper Club, on a Saturday night, the prime rib was tuff. The waitress was great. The food was marginal. I would not recommend this restaurant.

This was our first time here. (trying new restaurants) Everything was top notch. Prime rib was melt in your mouth. Twiced baked mash potatoes are a must. Service was great.

We love to order our Friday fish fry from the red ox. The wife loves the 14 different ways fish. I like mine deep fried. Always good. Their take out when not busy is perfect. Always on time. Steak was overpriced, undercooked and fatty. Salad came out as a wedge of ice berg w store bought shredded cheddar. I wouldn’t go back to this place if you paid me. All of the food is great as well as the service, and the menu has a wide variety of choices...with something to please everyone. It's also nice to see that they are taking responsible measures to deal with COVID regarding table spacing and staff wearing masks.More

I read quite a few reviews and thought I might be a bit harsh. Of course, this is just one meal I'm reviewing, so maybe it's not fair considering the rest of the foods on the menu. Mid-day...maybe ten others in the restaurant....a Friday. First...thing I noticed, the entryway is a little scary. Coming in on a sunny day, I had to wait a bit until my eyes adjusted to even see the stairs and the entry to the bar. The restaurant is quite dark, which didn't help much at all. Seated, we were served right away. Had a glass of delicious Riesling and ordered the following: Old Fashion Turkey Club-- Fire braised turkey breast, fresh grilled shoulder bacon, crispy lettuce, fresh sliced tomatoes & creamy mayo on three Traditional toasted white Artisano bread slices - 10.99... Turkey was fresh and there was a lot of it. Bacon enhanced the flavor as well as the tomato. What I didn't care for was the half-toasted white bread that was quite gummy. I don't know what kind of "special Artisano bread" this was supposed to be, but it didn't quite cut it. The fries were delicious. Checked out the decor...popcorn painted ceiling, quite the chandelier in the main dining room, patterned carpet....yup, straight out of the 60s? 70s? Restrooms are clean but could also use an update without detracting from the "supper club atmosphere". As I type this, I remember that about four years ago or so, I sat in the same dining room and had a dinner. Neighbors had raved about The Red Ox. I was not too impressed then....hence, I had not returned until now. For what it's worth....More

Back in town for the Packer - Seahawk game. John continues to deliver the best food and service in the Fox Valley. His staff's hospitality is A+. King Crab legs will melt in your mouth. Had the Prime Rib - a perfect MR with Mushrooms....Everyone in my party enjoyed the evening - what a great place to break bread with friends and family. I will continue to recommend the Red Ox. We have eaten at this restaurant many times Usually we go on a holiday like Easter or Thanksgiving We always have good food and nice service. GOOD COCKTAILS TOO. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT.

This place looks like it is out of the 1960's. It gets crowded so you need reservations. The claim to fame is Haddock prepared 14 different ways. Large menu, fresh food, and engaged Servers.
