We found this little place tucked into a pseudo strip mall. From the outside it's a bit deceiving, but once inside your hit with the aroma of Mexican food and a somewhat eclectic decor. Three staff were very nice and the restaurant was clean. We...were seated quickly and served quickly. They offer a gif menu selection, good margarita selection, but otherwise average adult beverage selection. My daughter and I had a combination of enchiladas and tacos. They also offered chips and salsas. Our meals were good, filling and were close to authentic Mexican food I've had in the past. Prices are reasonable considering how much you get.More

When it comes to Mexican our son & family always ask us to join them at El Azteca. The food is good & service always friendly, fast & efficient. I tend to order the Chicken Quesadillas & my husband the Chicken Chimichanga. Lots to choose...from, however. Colorful Decor. Chips, Salsa & Bean Dip happily refilled on request.More

This was an ok Mexican restaurant. Nothing was terrible but nothing was amazing. Bleh salsa to start. The horchata was obviously from a package mix and disappointing. The chili relleno was good but too spicy for my dining companion. I judge a Mexican restaurant by...its carnitas if they have it. They served lots of pork and it was tasty and not dry. But I didn't say wow, and there was not a nice variety of side fillings for the tortillas. One big thing missing was no cilantro. The service was nice and the owner honestly looked disheartened when I said my meal was OK, when she asked. That means she cares. I said I was a Mexican food snob.More

Our son & his family choose this as their favorite place for Mexican food (Northland location). When we are invited to join them we are always pleased to accept. The chips are fresh & served with very good Salsa & Bean Dip. They are generous...with the extra refills. Chicken Enchiladas, Chimichangas & Quesadillas are among our favorites. A fun upbeat place with friendly service. Margaritas are just okay for me (on the rocks).More

There was large group of us for work that visited. Around 20. Service was a bit helper skelter. Forgot someone’s drink here took a while to get refills on salsa and chips. Food had to ask who had what when brought out because didn’t keep...track. I would say handing big groups is not their strength. But food was good. Portions are nice size. Margaritas are very good. Clean up their service inconsistencies and would be excellentMore

Very average Mexican food. This is just another one of those very average Mexican places. There's loads of them. The staff was fine. The food on the other hand was very average. However, my wife said her chile relleno was the poorest one she's ever...had. MY BEST ADVICE- eat someplace else.More

We used to look forward to the fanfare and good food, but lately we are left with the impression they are only in the business to turn your table quickly. Upon being seated, the waiter asked if we wanted drinks...and immediately asked if wanted to...order. We said we'd like to enjoy our drinks for a few minutes first so off he ran to get them...in the mean time, we had to ask for water from the chip and salsa girl who told another waiter to get some water...he brought the water and asked if we wanted to order. We tried to explain we already had a waiter and no we were not ready to order seeing how the drinks hadn't arrived yet. The original waiter arrived with the drinks and more water, so now we each had three glasses of liquid in front of us. Naturally, he asked if we wanted to order. Knowing it was a lost cause, we put in our order and not to our surprise, the food arrived almost immediately... I may have taken two sips from my tecate con lemon which was not cold enough. Now onto the food-- what was served was a mundane medley of undercooked and tasteless enchilada and burrito type material with rice and beans... All at best ROOM TEMPERATURE!!! Because I have an innate fear of sending food back, I suffered through for a while and then simply asked for a box. I figured I could try to jazz it up with some spices and cheese for lunch the next day. One margarita one tecate two entrees $38.00! We are definitely never returning and will simply go to Taco Bell for better food, service and prices.More

Had lunch here the other day on a trip down to Appleton. We were promptly seated and serves with salsa and chips, as well as bean sauce which were good. Ordered our lunches and in about 10 minutes or so, just enough time to unwind...a bit and enjoy the chips and salsa. I had the Chile Releno, with a shredded chicken taco and guac salad and refried beans.. My guest had the Beef Chimichanga and it too was good size and as both were freshly prepared. Overall, El Azteca has a good Mexican decor and atmosphere with great service and we will stop in here again when our adventures allow us too. Enjoy Snowman :O)More
