Amazing food . The best I had during my two week stay in Brazil this September. I would recommend the risotto!

I am not an expert of local cuisine. But I also don't think it will be my favorite. We ordered a chicken salad, but the chicken was not cooked inside. The shrimp stroganoff had a lot of shrimps and was quite tasty. My only problem with it was it doesn't come with any vegi only shrimps and the thick sauce.... More

After an entire day at the beach we decided to have dinner at O Cacau. The atmosphere was amazing and the dishes came exactly as we want to. We started with a vegetable and mango salad and for the main course - shrimps with coconut sauce. Wonderful! To finalize we decided to order a desert that remembered our grandmothers -... More

I've visited Trancoso in August, and went to Cacau twice because the food is so good that I wanted to try lots of foods. It's a little pricey but it is worth. When I visit Trancoso again probably will go there.

While we have been to Trancoso 3 times, we have fallen in love with O Cacau. The food captures the true essence of cuisine from Bahia. While some dishes are very traditional others have taken a slight twist to give it a modern flare to the flavors. Fatima, the owner, is absolutely a divine person and truly has a passion... More

Very bad! Wine list imcomplete and more than 50 minutes to be served. Not recomended. You can find best alternatives at the Quadrado in Trancoso

Lots of local style fish stews, shell fish dishes. The breaded crab and cervice were fine and the huge prawn stews enough for 2 . Reasonable wine and cocktail lists. Nice ambience but it's a really large place and needs to be full to get any atmosphere going, and it was packed by 1030 so reserve ahead if you want... More

Had dinner here while staying in Trancoso one night. Great little restaurant on the quadrado with excellent ambience and a really chill vibe. They have an English menu which made communication easier. Based on other reviews we tried two different appetizers, the acaraje and the crab in a shell. Neither was impressive. However, the moqueca (seafood stew) was really awesome... More

Had a lovely brazilian dish called escondidinho and have been dreaming about it ever since. My starter was also gorgeous with aubergine courgette and brazilian coalho cheese. My friends had prawns. Excellent food.
