an excellent meal with a good choice of meat and fish - I had lobster which was delicious - just a shame our first choice dessert was not available

Great setting, good live music and high quality food. Very much recommended for a special evening in Trancoso.

First of all, the lighting of the restaurant is so warm and nice. There is enough light to see what you are eating and drinking very well, but otherwise it is soft and whimsical. We got to Capim Santo and were welcomed with received a shot of the capim santo drink, while good (not loud) live music was playing. We... More

This is a lovely restaurant in every respect. The ambience is lovely, the staff are friendly, and the food first-rate. As soon as we sat down we were served jugs of iced water which I took to be a good omen when so many restaurants here make a killing on small bottles of water. I'm not terribly keen on music... This restaurant is a must do while in Trancoso. The dishes and beverages there are outstanding. On top of that, their service is excellent too. Hopefully next time I'll also stay at Pousada Capim Santo!

We went here twice mostly because the kids loved the file mignon. It was really good even with Brazils high standad in meet. We also had grilled lobster with a delisious garlic sauce. The setting was great, the restaurant had different areas so all places felt cozy. The service was very good which is wonderful in Brazil were it can... More

Capim Santo at Trancoso provide not only fresh fish dishes but also excellent appetizers like a small portion of bolinho de mandioca with shrimps. The taste was amazing! Fully recommend!

The Capim Santo is a plant that we do not know in Italy, but we were won over by the drinks and the Brigadeiro that prepare them with this herb! Very courteous and excellent quality of the food! One of the best restaurants in the "Quadrado"!
