Service was fantastic. They gave us special attention, and since my partner enjoyed hot sauces, they were nice and brought us some different ones to try. We ended up buying their hot sauce. Moqueca de camera and acaraje were delicious!!! The best I've tried in Brazil. Thank you

This is a traditional Bahia seafood restaurant that is not to be missed in Salvador. You first notice traditional décor and all restaurant employees in traditional white dress of Bahia. the menu is varied but mostly seafood and fish (although they do serve meat). The traditional Moqueca, a seafood stew from Bahia is exceptional and they serve many different types.... More

Located in front of the beach, offers great view, great typical food and also a good variety of options for those who are not on the mood to eat local food. I think it is expensive, but you should give it a try!

Recommended by a friend that knows Salvador. iemanja does the Bahia style food truly well. Casquinha de Siri, and we had soft shell crab moqueca as it was in season. wow.. Good caipirinhas to balance the spicy food. Be careful with their dried shrimp with oil of dende as if one is not familiar can be too much. It tastes... More

You won't regret to go to Yemanja, you will eat a nice dinner, moquecas are their specialty but you can find a broad menu, excellent place to go, parking is besides the restaurant. Yemanja is front of Jardim de Alah beach. Recommend to eat a moqueca of shrimp and fish together, it tastes heaven.

My wife and I had a layover in Salvador, so we popped into town to eat some moqueca. Sadly, our first choice (Ki Moqueca) was closed, so we tried Yemanjá. What a huge disappointment. My wife is Baiana and I've been to Salvador many times, so we know moqueca. The moqueca here had an uninspired caldo (stock) and fish that... More

Our friend from Salvador took us here, so we could experience real Bahian food, and so it was! My previous experience with moqueca wasn't the best, so I thought I would give it another try - and this time round it was delicious! They tried to sell us flowers which was rather strange during the meal. I think we must... More

The moqueca was average at best. I ordered a brazilian fish stew, and I am positive that the fish in the stew was near spoiled. The caipirinhas were below average. It was overall a bad meal and I left the restaurant hungry. I am in disbelief that anyone considers this to be a quality restaurant.
