It's considered the most sophisticated restaurant in Salvador. The employees are attentive and friendly. Well decorated and good ambient. There are different options on menu.

Behind the warehouse exterior is a modern sophisticated interior, though you must eat out on the terrace which is right by the sea. This is a fine dining restaurant - food was excellent especially duo of lobster, coconut cake and choc mousse with bulgarian cake. Though not full when we visited on a tuesday evening there were quite a few... More

Rio Prices. Sao Paulo level of gastronomic food. Excellent service. Pleasant surprise for Salvador. Steep Prices.. But could be in Europe and you would not know. Super view to boot. Limited menu options. Highly Recommend this place. Bhagwan

We almost did not go to Amado after reading some of the reviews posted but we're so happy that we went. I was really impressed with Amado; the service, food and atmosphere were all excellent and if I were to visit Salvador in the future, would certainly eat here again. We arrived by taxi and an attendant promptly opened the... More

Bahia is notorious for bad service and our first stop in Salvador honored its fame. The place is beautiful, the food was excellent but the service far from minimum expected. It was a late lunch and there was literally only 1 more table and we struggled tomget the waiter's attention.

Amado was my first stop when I arrived in Salvador, hungry and ready to sample all that the local cuisine had to offer. I had read previous reviews about the service, but I had a completely different experience - they were so warm and helpful! To be fair, I arrived for lunch shortly after it opened, so it was far... I'm reluctant to apply standards of fine dining of North American and European restaurants to Latin American locales, but in any case, I expected exceptional service and great food. The service was odd (they didn't seat us though tables were available, they didn't offer us drinks while they made us wait even though we were feet from the bar), and... More

Upscale, harbor-side, modern, cool atmosphere, attentive service. Oh, and manifestly touristy, but then that goes with the territory. My sense was that this is the sort of place that also has locals in the mix of diners, out for a special occasion. You will want a table outside on the deck. Get the picture? We liked the food and were... More

If you consider yourself a food-y and it's important to try delicious Bahian food while in Salvador, Amado (along with the more remote Paraiso Tropical) should be on your list. The food is excellent- we had the crusted fish with banana sauce, octopus rice, and a divine sun-dried beef. Everything is expertly prepared. Amado is a fairly classy establishment- "California...
