Decided to visit after reading so many positive reviews, especially the traditional dishes. Although I found the food to be either underseasoned or overseasoned in some cases, it was generally pretty good. First time to actually try "Zupe" - which is a type of layered pudding-type dessert, surprisingly good! Service friendly and decent.

Probably the best meal of our trip

This is an extremely popular restaurant and rightly so. We found fish fillet based meals in quite short supply during our trip so this was a welcome change. Our meal of Greek salad and salmon fillet in lemon sauce with grilled vegetables was excellent. Large pieces of fish perfectly cooked. This is quite a large restaurant but it is divided into different areas and levels. We found the upstairs terrace a pleasant place to eat. Service was friendly and efficient. On the day we visited it was very busy so booking is recommended to secure the best tables. It is owned by the same people who run Cocja Boutique Hotel which is similarly excellent.

Nice spot for lunch

We were on a day trip to Albania while staying in Montenegro. The local Albanian guide took us here for lunch and it was a nice spot, Our little group ate in the courtyard area which was very pleasant. The service was good and the food was basic but fresh and tasty.

Decent, but not great food.

We popped into Vila Bekteshi on our first day in Shkodër. We were famished after our day of travel and getting settled in our apartment, so we ordered more food than usual. Service was good (if a bit distant - there was a definite language barrier), and portions were large. The warm buns that accompanied the leal were outstanding. The cheese plate was generous, but none of the cheeses “popped” in terms of taste/texture. The Caesar Salad was just odd. Not a Caesar dressing in any form we’ve encountered it. Instead it tasted like Thousand Island dressing from a bottle, which did nothing to jazz up the tasteless croutons and parmesan cheese that garnished the lettuce. Definitely an “avoid” on any return visit. The Risotto with beets, chicken and gorgonzola was very good. The risotto was perfectly al dente, and the gorgonzola was of a very good quality. Definitely the beat main at the table. The tagliatelle with shrimps and pumpkin (zucchini) was tasty - shrimp and zucchini is a classic flavour pairing. But the pasta was overcooked to the point of mushy. It was really a shame because the flavour was spot on. Including a large bottle of sparkling water the bill came to 2,150L. Not expensive by any means, but we’ve since had numerous meals in Shkodër in that price range that were much better. If we were to return we’d avoid the pasta and focus instead on their range of secondi plates.

Place a little away from the center street. Very nice, we ate in the internal garden. Very varied menu, they were very kind because they let us order more traditional foods (lamb with yogurt, aubergines stuffed with cheese) that would normally require a reservation. Space trilece. Honest price and above all they accept credit cards, which is not at all a given in Albania.

Nice restaurant with italian influence

Excellent food for moderate prices. In all dishes you can see the italian influence. Staff is kind and speaks english. Service is quick, the restaurant accepts cards. They accept both currences: lek and euro. Especially worth tasting is lemon-egg soup. Lemon juice gives it freshness and egg creaminess. Salmon in lemon sauce is also a dish that pleasently surprised me.

Cosy garden

The garden is a cosy place to sit and the service fine and fast. The kitchen can be viewed from the garden, which is nice. Kittens were playing around. The mixed salad was disappointing with boiled eggs that were greyish. The vegetables were bland by albanian standards. The pasta with tomato was ok. There was no parmesan with the pasta.

We went on the recommendation of a friend. Place a little away from the centre, but very nice inside. The menu seemed touristy to us (pasta, pizza...), so we asked for something typical and we were offered lamb with cream cheese, peppers and fried aubergines and spicy beef meatballs. Delicious lamb. We also got some really tasty grilled prawns. To conclude the dinner, a well-made trilece, but the other desserts were a bit bland. With water and beers, we paid 4500 Lek for three... Super!

Hello, well it was average, it's still okay, huh! (I write as I speak 😀) The setting is very good but the dishes are medium. Moment staff. Excellent food. Great city ❤️ Shkoder. I recommend this place because it really deserves it. It is located in the center of Scutari and after eating you can also take a nice walk in the street with open shops and bars called "Pedestrian".

Great ambience mediocre food

The location and the ambience were great. The waiters were friendly and had a good service orientation. We sat on the upstairs terrace which is outside but with a roof over. The downstairs courtyard is also open air and also looked good. I had a Greek salad which was okay but below average, followed by liver which was good and cheesy potatoes which had far too much chewy cheese. My son gave his pizza 3 out of 10. My wife had carbonnara linguini which was below average.

Nice place in the city center

A friendly staff led us upstairs to the dining room. It rained in torrents, so unfortunately we had to eat inside. The outdoor dining looked great. The map a mixture of Italian and Albanian. The kitchen was good but still had room for improvement here and there. The good value for money lets you see beyond.

Very beautiful location. Grand mansion. Beautiful beer garden and huge leafy roof terrace. Top notch service. Competent and friendly/helpful staff. The food we had was rustic Italian, good homecook fare. Greek salad, Tagliatelle and risotto was fine, not great. Albanian wine was surprisingly expensive and not for the faint hearted! A bit acidic and boring…. But it is such a lovely place!

Worth a visit

Near the Orthodox church, there is an outside courtyard and upper terrace. The courtyard was reserved for a private party on our visit so we sat upstairs. The service was charming and good. Really excellent pizza and chicken with mushrooms. The house wine was delicious. Really loved this place.

Located near main street of Shkoder. Althiugh a bit hidden. Outdoor very hard to find. Ondoor a very beautiful decorated restaurant. Very good service. Menu for every taste. Very quality food. Moderately priced. When in Shkoder don’t miss it.
