We recently went to Los Morales on a weeknight. It’s a small place & looked to be moderately busy, maybe patrons at 5-6 other tables. The dining room was uncomfortably warm. There was a fan against one wall and it did not seem as though...the AC was working, if it was even on. We each ordered a margarita that was oddly warm even though they were served “on the rocks. “ Our meals came relatively quickly so that is a plus. The burritos we were served were very wet with quite a lot of liquid on the plate - as though the meats had been simmered & kept warm in a water bath prior to being rolled into the tortillas. Weird. The best part of the meal was the chips & salsa that we were given when first seated. We won’t be back.More

Your queso was good until you started thinning it too much. It has no flavor when you do this. Higher prices are to be expected but you are showing the evidence of a failing business and that will be sad for the area.

Bad experience all the way around. When they made a mistake on my order they made me bring it back only to argue with me infront of other patrons. I ordered a chimichanga and asked if they put queso on it before I ordered it....I was told yes and I ordered it along with 3 other entrees. My chimichanga came without anything on it! Dry dry dry! I called and let him know and he said he packed my order himself and he would have to see it first. I drove back and he had the nerve to tell me that the cheese just slid off due to the hear of the chimichanga!!!! I ran my finger over the top of it and showed him my dry finger. He then got loud and said he would get me some cheese sauce for my cold chimichanga!? You can't run a business arguing with a customer who is standing in your restaurant with the evidence to support the complaint. He refused to refund my money and I left hungry and no refund. Looks like small claims court! Just for principle. Dont take a chance here. Not customer friendly!More

A few friends and I ate here. We ordered quesadilla, burrito, and flautas. All were yummy with good size portions. Friendly staff. Looks like family run business. Wouldn't choose this as a date nite place, very casual.

I had heard their meals aren't bad but not so much the case when we dined in. I had the Steak strips in pepper, onion tomato base but not so good. Wife had tacos that didn't impress. I can be tough on Mexican restaurants as...I know authentic food but there are some very good places out there. Jose's, well it came short of being good enough to race back to anytime soon.More

While passing through the area, we decided to stop here for a bite to eat and we're very happy we did. On a Saturday late afternoon (5ish) we were seated. Within 20 minutes the place filled up and had a waiting line. I noticed the...waiting customers were seated very quickly. While being this busy our service suffered a little but, was understandable. I had the chimichanga and was happy to see that it came with rice and beans. My partner had a cheese quesadilla. Both very very good! I highly recommend this establishment. Prices were reasonable.More

We love Los Morales Mexican Restaurant. The restaurant was formerly Jose’s - connected to the Baraboo, Wisconsin restaurant one, also excellent food! Norberto Morales was managing the restaurant and purchased it from the Jose’s restaurant owner. Same great food. Same great service! New menus. Yum....#1 for a reason! Try it.More

The closest we have to american food is we serve T-Bone steaks that instead of the rice/beans, guacamole salad, and tortillas, we would be happy to serve with fries. That is really all we have.
