Some people have a favorite thing to order when they eat here. My recent favorite is the “child size” reuben. It’s just 1/2 a large and tasty reuben.
When you order your sandwich you can pick all you favorites, the condiments, bread, and frills.
There is outside and inside dining. It all runs very efficiently. You can even bring a dog and dine outside.

The delicious food (wide variety menu) at a competitive price was great, but the aspect which made our (first) visit so memorable, was Gere-a-Deli's authentically wonderful staff (e.g. where does Amiee get her high, positive energy?)!!

Phil helped me pick a menu for my daughter's baby shower, attended by 40 plus women and children. The food was outstanding. Everyone had more than enough, we did not run out. Heard people raving about how good the food was. Ordered the chocolate tuxedo cake and the lemon cake and they were to die for! Great deviled eggs, crab cakes and fruit and cheese boards. There was something for everyone. Had the macaroni salad, the potato salad and chicken mango penne pasta salad and Thai peanut salad. Can't even pick my favorite, they were all so good. Little pinwheel sandwiches were darling. Folks asked, "Where did you get the food?" I was happy to recommend Gere-a-deli and urge them to use them for their next events. I wouldn't hesitate to use for my next gathering. Thank you so much!

I don't know what happened, but a place that has historically been pretty good has not been the last two times I've been here. I clearly was an awful customer, though I have no idea how, because the person that took my order was about as angry at me being there as was possible. Fine. What wasn't fine was the sandwich. There is a place I ate at in Montana once that claimed they had "sandwiches like you'd make at home," and we literally laughed out loud when we got them because they were just that - the ingredients you have in your fridge at home, and you even "get" to put them together. This reminded me a lot of that in that it was about the worst ingredients I could have found at home, served to me at what claims to be a deli. I got the Gobbler, and it tasted like the worst canned cranberry sauce with the most bland cream cheese and a tiny bit of turkey on bread that was too soft to hold up to any of it. Just really disappointing, and a clear frontrunner for worst of this trip.

Delightful little stop before the ferry. We stopped in around 1pm on Friday and it was busy but the line moved fast and the service was fast to boot. I got a hot chicken melt sandwich with a pickle and it was delicious. My girlfriend’s and I split a pop and a bear dessert more because we were curious as to what it was. It was heaven on a plate. Think little Debbie Swiss cake role times 100. It was absolutely worth all the calories.

This is a great spot for grabbing some lunch as they have a ton of different sandwich options. The service was really good and the food was excellent. This area is really pricy but the restaurant was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

We were told by RV friends that the grilled cheese sandwiches at Gere-a deli were to die for, and indeed they were. Easily the best I've ever had, and a am a big fan of grilled cheese!
Good coleslaw, too. The restaurant was fun, kind of loud and bistro-like, busy but clean and efficient. Stood in line to order, food came quickly to out table. Would happily return!

Ten of us needed a reservation for an hour later and we got one for Saturday lunch. The food was good, the price was more than reasonable, but the service was really stand out, prompt, cheerful, accurate. It seemed to me the owners have the right sized staff in front and in back. The food came earlier than I expected, which is really really rare. Thanks GERE a DELI for a much better than expected lunch after a long morning hike with friends.

Great quality food! We ordered several sandwich platters and a birthday cake and it was all delicious and just as we ordered.
It was ready on time and our guests ate every bite! Only downside is that they can be very busy because they are so good! Plan ahead to wait a little during peak times. Worth the wait though!

Second time at this Deli/diner in the last 6 months and this place does not disappoint.
the service is good and the food freshly cooked from an extensive menu.
I had the breakfast 'everything' Bagel and coffee. Reasonably priced and tasty.
Seems to be limited hours due to lack of help, like everywhere else!

Stopped in for lunch. We weren't sure how things worked but figured out you order at the counter and then find a seat. We were early for lunch but the place filled up by the time we left. Lots of choices. We had soup and salad. Split one of their special desserts. Loved the chowder. Try it! Casual and fun.

We went during the arts festival and got the BLT and a Chicken Ciabatta and they were insanely good. Molly helped us out there and she was incredibly sweet! The prices are really good and while I didn’t get a desert the carrot cake in the case looked amazing!

We stumbled on this restaurant on our way into town from the Northern Cascades. We were going on a whale tour so we did not have much time, and ordered online. The website was very easy to use. Our food was ready when we got there and was excellent. The portions are very generous, we got the Italian sub and the Turkey sandwich. Would definitely recommend this place while you are in town!

They catered my Mom's funeral- it was amazing! High quality, huge quantity food and it was very reasonably priced! Phil delivered and set it up for a $25 fee- thank you! I highly recommend them! We arrived at the Church- it was beautifully presented, and delicious!

Great old building. Lots to look at. We go there just off of the 12:00 ferry and just beat the rush. had a Cobb salad and meat loaf sandwich. The meatloaf was good but would have been better hot. Great salad.
