This was a first time visit based on a recommendation from family. We had some of the best pork ribs we've found in quite a while. The meat was tender and very well flavored. The sides provided something of an over-abundance of food beyond the...ribs. We took ribs in a to-go container as the portions are large.More

Please avoid this place. The service is COMPLETE TRASH. I placed an order in advance to pick it up, however I told the girl on the phone that before I order additional sides, first I want to see how big our order is in person....In the beginning, there are a total of 3 customers inside. 1) The customer (A) ahead of me 2) The customer (B) who walked in the same time as me and went to order in line 3) Me (C). I wait in line near the cash register, and waited patiently for the customer A to finish paying. Customer B was ordering while I was waiting for customer A. I patiently wait till customer A and customer B paid for their meals and left. Then it's my turn to come up to the cash register. I tell the cashier (middle aged red head) that I'm here to pick up my order and that I wanted to order additional sides for my party platter. During this time, there is a group of 8x customers who walked in AFTER me. He then CONDESCENDINGLY tells me to get in the back of the line behind the 8x customers, even though I was there BEFORE them. I then told the cashier "You must not want to make any money today". Then the red head replied "Oh! I made my money today." Well good, cause you will never ever get 1 penny from me ever again. This is not the only BBQ place in town, thank God. I hope the owner Danny Hurdle reads this and knows how terrible his employee is. This red head looks like he's miserable everyday at the cash register and probably need to get a number for a hot line.More

I ate at Carolina Brothers on 12 Mar 2020 and it was absolutely delicious. My potato salad and mac & cheese topped the BBQ beef sandwich off perfectly. My dinner companion enjoyed her meal as well. It's a great place to go to enjoy a...meal at a very reasonable price when compared to most places in Northern Virginia. Additionally, Carolina Brothers offers a military discount to anyone with a valid military ID card. Looking forward to the next visit.More

In the depth of "Old Ashburn", this old school red building sits by the W&O trail. The smell of BBQ floats in the wind. It's strange but this place really works. Food is fresh and good and hot. BBQ is vinegar based but have options...without vinegar. They cater events and are well known around town. I only ding this place for 2 things. There is not a lot of parking and sitting. You are better off taking and going back to another location to eat. All of the options can be overwhelming as well. When they are out, they are out of stuff. It would be nice to have the full menu of foods but if you go close to closing, you have to deal with what's there.More

Nice place for some tasty brisket and some ribs. Not a classy suit down restaurant, but, good enough for a quick family dinner or lunch.

Very popular place, the location is spot on at WOD trail. Nice dining area inside as well as outside especially on a nice weather. Pork, chicken or beef brisket are well cooked to its perfection. Variety of sides to choose from. They have home made...desserts which are very delicious. Price wise, very reasonable. For bikers, they have bike racks and if you need air for your tire, it's a pit stop.More

I was meeting some friends at their house and they asked me if I wanted BBQ for dinner. I said yes and they said ok, they were going to pick some up and we could eat it at their house. I was born and raised...in NC and lived there for 21 years, so I know NC BBQ. The first thing I tasted was the baked beans, normally I have to add something to the baked beans because they don't have the Carolina-style, southern barbecue flavor. Carolina Brothers baked beans took me back to NC. I didn't have to add anything, they were just right. I had never heard of Carolina Brothers but I will definitely be going again. I made my BBQ sandwich this way: first I put BBQ sauce on the bread, then I put the Pork BBQ on the bread, then put coleslaw on it, then put BBQ sauce on the coleslaw. EXCELLENT! Reminded me of Home! I loved it. My friends were so nice, they let me take some home and I'm going to have some more tonight!More

Convenient location - Great for take out for a large group. We usually get large take out orders when we have family in town. Chicken and Pork BBQ along with Ribs are our go to items, plus they supply yummy potato buns. They are still...going strong, while Dickies BBQ and Urban BBQ in Ashburn has closed!More

This place is one of my favorite BBQ places in Northern Virginia. Both the pulled chicken and pork BBQ are great. Love the sides as well. Only complaint is the coleslaw seemed to have changed from a few years ago, so stopped ordering it as...a side.More
