My wife and I go here often and we are always so happy with the service and quality of food. Anything you ask is done with a smile and it's always better than anything I can find. Eating here makes my day because I never have food regret . The price is comparable with I hop or Denny's but the quality is far better. They hire super friendly people and the atmosphere is welcoming and joyful. Very clean bathrooms also.

Was in Arlington for a cousins funeral. One night after shopping in the massive huge Pentagon City mall we ordered delivery. Simple BLT's that made 2 girls very happy. Bacon cooked perfectly! After the funeral, 3 of us went in and had an awesome breakfast. I had a pancake, side of cornbeef hash and side of grits that were cooked just the way this southern girl likes. Dont remember what the other 2 ordered but they were just as happy with theirs!

Visited here on vacation with my husband.
We loved this restaurant. The staff is very friendly.
I ordered hamburger steak, home fries and homemade macaroni salad. My husband ordered Country fried steak, homemade mashed potatoes and homemade coleslaw.
The slaw was a little bland, we just added a bit of salt.
Everything was still so good.
Highly reccomend.

When we got there, they told us 30 minutes for the wait. We reluctantly waited and the host allowed a large group of young girls in prior to us that arrived and put their name on the list after us. Upon sitting down 45 minutes later we placed our order immediately as we were in a hurry. It took 50 minutes to get our food. They were giving takeout orders fast but anyone in the restaurant was having to wait forever. The food was pretty good but not worth the wait.

We ordered easy meals and the waiter was visibly and audibly upset when we ordered. We had a party of 5, there was two other parties in the diner. He told us we might as well make the milkshakes since we wanted some, this is absolutely absurd! Don’t think about ordering more than 1 plate of food or you will be publicly crucified! We waited 45 minutes for warm milkshakes. DO NOT ORDER milkshakes if you wanna sit on your a$$ and wait for 45 mins for a milkshake that tastes like sharpie with a side of chocolate. Also, don’t even think about asking for a straw because your waiter will b!tch and moan more! I wanted to like the diner, but if you want a milkshake, go down the street to the local Diary Queen!

This place has had a good reputation for serving country-friendly, inexpensive meals for years. This was not my experience, however. For $11, I got two pieces of undercooked french toast that had very little flavor, which even the syrup couldn't help. For $4, I got an order of undercooked Scrapple, which I sent back for further cooking. The 2 friends I was with fared a little better with bacon and eggs, though the eggs were overcooked for one of them; the bacon was nice and crispy though. The coffee was meh. Service was fast. Overall, I don't anticipate going back here again. Would much prefer to eat at the Sports Pub next door.

Terribly high prices and a long wait for a minimal order. Breakfast sandwiches do not come with cheese or a side so you pay up. You hardly get a side for the $3 you pay. So much better to cook at home

What a NIGHTMARE! Server managed to get every single order wrong. Mom asked for honey mustard for her tenders 5 times - never got it. Made my Caesar salad order with spicy chicken- I didn’t ask for meat! She said “no speak English- speak espanol manager not here to void it you must pay for something she got wrong and took back. Worst service ever by Vilcey

After having the classic patty melt twice, I'm considering having my mail forwarded to Bob and Edith's. This is more than a sandwich. It is an experience. Do yourself one favor if you are luck enough to be in the area: try this incredible sandwich.

I had an unexpected layover at DCA airport. Forced to spend the night I was looking for a quick bite to eat before I called it a night. Within walking distance of the Hampton hotel was this great little diner. I had a young but very friendly and helpful server. I ordered meatloaf with french fries and potato salad and I have to say it was excellent. It was accompanied by a couple of dinner rolls and I also ordered a slice of Boston cream pie for dessert. It was a great diner experience. The only thing that was slightly odd was all my food was served in plastic containers Of the sort you would expect with a take-out order.

$10 for two eggs and 3 strips of bacon….
Waitress forgot our order and told us it was because they were so busy….yet everyone else was getting their food…
It happens but be truthful don’t give excuses.
Just annoyed at the expense especially as we were treated that way.
Tried to complain but it took us 15 mins to get the bill and no one seemed to want to help us….

Wanted to love this place, but Friday, 10/15 was just not the day. We chose it because it was so highly rated and did a long drive to get there to celebrate my birthday.
Arrived around 9:30 and had a table by maybe 9:45. Took a while to get menus and coffee, with other tables arriving after us already having ordered…..Ok, so we ordered, and waited, and waited and WAITED. Our waiter would pass by from time to time and tell us our order was coming soon. And then, FORTY MINUTES after we ordered, he comes and asks us what we had ordered and tells us the order had been lost, so we start all over.
Food arrived at 10:40. A quick apology and that was that. Guess we’re not going back there.

Visited here in January a few times and I have to say the food is served fast with great service from the staff.
O ordered French toast which came in a generous portion (Compared to portions in the UK) and it was very tasty. Staff are always happy to refill the coffee cups too.
I would definitely recommend this place if your around the area!

The perfect neighborhood greasy spoon. It’s a no frills dinner that you go to when your too lazy to make breakfast yourself or are completely to hung over to travel anywhere else. Went their with my Girlfriend and we liked everything we had and enjoyed everything we had. There is nothing really special about the pace other than its average and a safe place to grab some grub

This cozy, family-owned diner was a fantastic way to start the day. I came here with colleagues before going to a meeting, and we were all very impressed with the quality of our food and the friendliness of the service. I had the 'two eggs and corned beef hash' dish with a blueberry hot cake on the side, and everything was delicious. Really pleasant, non-fussy atmosphere with good food and reasonable prices. This place was busy, but they move people along at a good pace that simultaneously doesn't offend anyone.
