Fairly standard Thai fare. Decent offerings for lunch. The Drunken noodles with chicken were good. The noodles fell apart and were more clumpy than when they are at their best, but it happens with rice noodles. I like it spicier than they prepared it and...with a few vegetables (carrot, broccoli, string beans, etc). So nothing special for Drunken Noodles, just good. What was unique and tasty was the vegetable garden roll (cold roll with rice paper wrap and peanut dipping sauce). I really liked that they added shredded beat. It adds excellent color to the presentation and it was really good. Some fried tofu would be a nice addition. I would order these again. Very tasty. Thaiphoon is worth checking out.More

Delicious Chicken Satay, Thom Kha Gai (coconut milk chicken soup), and Green Tea Ice Cream. Just be advised that the Thom Kha Gai portion is a tad on the small side, so be ready to place a double order if you’ve got a hearty appetite....Friendly service.More

My sister and I dined at this restaurant for dinner and found the atmosphere nice. The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu options were plentiful. We had the dumpling appetizer which was flavorful. She ordered the pork see ew and said it was good....I had the shrimp pad Thai. It was okay. Not the best. Not the worst. Here is where the experience gets dicey. We came back to our hotel and retired for the night. Fast forward a few hours. I wake up in a sudden and violent nature. I’ll spare you the details, but it was awful. Once the demons exited by body, I was fine. My sister never got sick. I’m sure now that it was the shrimp. I never get sick, ever. There was something very bad here. I’d be very careful.More

I ordered the mixed vegetables and they gladly substituted tofu for the flesh options provided and assured me it would be made without fish or oyster sauce. Nice staff who regularly refreshed our waters. A cozy restaurant with a comfortable décor. Ample seating. Portions average...size. I asked for spicy and it was moderately spicy.More

Lunch with colleagues. Everything was amazing and it wasn’t busy. It’s away from the crowds at the mall. Crispy Duck was amazing! Great prices!

We have eaten here a few times over the years and the food has always been of fresh, good quality. The restaurant is clean and the staff are welcoming. They do really good mixed vegetables, steam rolls and curries. Whenever we visit DC we know...this is one of the places to eat at.More

Love the food. Been dining there since it opened. Frequent takeout customer. Arrived to place $40+ take out order during an inactive afternoon period. Stood at hostess stand for a few minutes waiting for someone to come. Not a problem - I browsed one of...the lunch menus sitting in a pile on the hostess stand. Hostess came to take my order. Had to type a few items in - tap, tap, tap on keyboard. Confirmed the order with me twice. Charged me the dinner (evening) price - this added almost $10 to the bill for the same items. When I pointed out that I stood waiting for a while and was greeted by a pile of lunchtime menus on the hostess stand, she pointed and tapped on the computer's clock, telling me I was ONE MINUTE into the evening pricing "zone" at the *moment she hit the TOTAL button.* She refused to back down from the dinner pricing. I entered the restaurant before this pricing took effect. She entered my order before... She left a pile of lunchtime menus where any customer would reach for them... She took extra time to key in and review the order twice... (( It's NOT the total dollar amount of this evening "surcharge" - it's the blatantly nit-picky nickel-and-diming action of tapping on the clock which had just clicked A MINUTE into the higher prices. )) I wasn't taking up the space of other paying customers. The kitchen was dead because there was only one table occupied. I wasn't costing them the labor required to wait on a table. When I said (calmly - the exchange was completely calm) I'd prefer to come back tomorrow at an earlier hour, she said, "Yeah, sure, tomorrow" and walked away. Again - not the dollar amount - of course I can "afford" an extra $10. It's the sting of that level of service. I went to the website and documented the experience politely in an email to the management. I think they should know, and know that it cost them a customer. That was a week ago. No response. Love the food but don't feel like giving them my money anymore.More
