In a metro area known for over-priced and overrated steaks, this place shines as an excellent DC option if you need a nice and quiet meal. Settled just across from a Metro stop, Ray's the Steaks raises the bar for DC beef. The off-menu ribeye, served black and blue, is as good of a piece of meat as any you'll... More

Went early gor dinner on a weekend. Place has very bleak decor...new, clean, but very sterile. Staff friendly and attentive. Well chosen wines at moderate prices. Very good steaks, good sides. Much better value than Morton's out in Reston. All in all, we will be back but it just is not festive.

This has to be one of the most impressive little steakhouses I have visited. The steaks are quite good but it was the service that was really exceptional. Waiters from the restaurant went out of their way to check on my drink or ask to bring extra side dishes even if they were in a different section. The Brazilian sauce... More

I have had better steaks elsewhere like Outback, Ruth's, and more. On- line menu showed a chicken entree that was no longer offered. The manager offered a lame excuse that just did not jive. Secondly, my wife ordered the scallops, priced at $27, and we received 4 scallops! Finally, do not expect any attempt at atmoshere. I know its a... More

Rays offers the highest quality steaks and the best prices! They are delicious! I've eaten at Mortons, Smith and Wolensky, Capital Grille, Ruth Chris and similar restaurants - and Rays is better than all of this. I've been enjoying Rays for 11 years and it has been consistently top notch! They have a great wine list and a sophisticated, classy,... More

Busy, need reservation, but they will fit you in, good service, fun, drink selection good, recommend however since the steaks are 11 oz. and up except special that you split a steak, which brings the steak price down from @ $30 per person to $15. Whipped potatoes and creamed spinach comes with for the table. We had a great time... More

I had a reservation for 18 but only 16 of us arrived at the restaurant. When we called to find out where the last two people were, they said they were tied up in traffic. We asked if we could be seated and explained that the others were delayed. This snotty hostess pointed to a chart on a post which... More

We went for dinner on a Friday night. We were promptly greeted and seated. We ordered mixed green salads which consisted of a very large pile of greens and two tomato wedges. Got the 28 oz ribeye at best average. Service was friendly and attentive . I think they're much better options for steaks in the area.

If you are looking just good food this is the place. The place was packed when we went there. The price was affordable and the food was excellent. My husband tried their famous"Hanger" steak,it was very tasty but small portion. I had the Filet Mignon with crab meat and it was excellent. Our waiter, who was a native New Yorker,... More
