Decent italian food. Lobster ravioli, chicken Isabella, meat calzone peroni beer. Good and close to hotel. I wouldn't go out of my way - but a good dinner if staying at Hilton Garden Inn across the street

First the good. This is a cute place. I ate early so the restaurant wasn't that busy and the service was great. I ordered the meat Calzone with a side salad. I couldn't believe how fast the salad came. The Italian dressing was great. Now the not so good. While the Calzone looked fantastic, I've never tasted something so bland.... More
When in the area ww always plan for one meal.to be at the Cafe Italia I in Olde Town. Our plan was for dinner last night but traffic prevented us from arriving before 10:30. We made another excellent dinner selection but that is another review. Not to be defeated we made it for lunch today. The "specials" option looked great,... More
I had the jumbo shells with pink sauce...it was so good! The Italian sausage was spicy but very tasty. My husband said it might be the best sausage he had ever eaten. He had the lobster ravioli and enjoyed it. Our son really liked the chicken Alfredo.
The bread is homemade and comes to your table hot. We could have just eaten the bread. It seems like a family run place because when they went in the back I think spoke Italian. All your dishes will be a little different than you are expecting because they put the Italian flare on it. This is a good thing.... More
We returned here after many years, looking forward to it. Drove there in the rain. I ordered osso bucco "our signature dish" but actually it was disgusting. Stringy and tasteless, looked awful too. I left there hungry and very disappointed. When a restaurant lists an item as their best, it ought to be good.
This place ranks kind of in between poor and mediocre. But due to its fairly high reviews I judged it deserves poor. I had the zuppa di pesce, which is one of my favorite Italian dishes. The muscles were either of below average quality or not fresh. Either way they had an unpleasant taste. The Bolognese sauce was one of... More
I am in a nearby hotel for a conference. While walking the neighborhood looking over the restaurants I decided to stop in Cafe Italia on Tuesday evening. A few couples were in the patio yet none were inside the restaurant. I was allowed to select where I wanted to sit so I chose inside. The interior is quaint and somewhat... More
We had dinner and drinks with friends here- the food was decent, but I expect an Italian restaurant to do a great veal parmigiana and sadly I was disappointed. The decor was very dated. Overall, not a bad place to dine, but it certainly wouldn't be on the top of my list.
