My wife and I went to celebrate the birth of a grandchild Saturday evening and it was busy. La Cote D'Or isn't huge but it has always delivered well. You can imagine being in a small village in the Loire Valley or the Left Bank. From the first flute of champagne to the last cup of fresh coffee, the food... More

We've been long time diners at all of Chef Jacques Imperato's restaurants he's owned over the years here in Arlington and Great Falls, Virginia. Our best Christmas present for 2016 was Chef Jacques becoming the new owner of Cote d'Or in Feb '16 ... (after the sad and far-too-premature passing of the previous owner, Raymond Campet). With Cote d'Or's nearby... More

I've driven past this restaurant for a few years now and my friends made reservations for my birthday and it blew me away. Pros: location right off 66 or Lee highway. Ample street paid parking and lots of cute local stores to wander through Staff is authentically French as is the decor, food and wines Service is impeccable. White table... More

We went to Coq D'or for a romantic Valentine's dinner last night and was SO impressed! We've been there several times in the past, but last night was exceptional - especially the meats. Wonderful veal chop, perfectly cooked. Of course, the desserts were delicious, too. Add great service and the evening was perfect. Thanks!!

We had a hankering for French cuisine, and coincidentally came here for the Restaurant Week special celebration. Well worth this visit! The restaurant offered a special fixed price menu of extremely good value, and a superb introduction to the wider a la carte menu. Despute being very busy, the host could not have been more amiable and gracious, as were... More

Recently, I hosted a party of 6 at this restaurant for a special night and I was excited about going there for the first time based upon the many positive reviews that I had read. It is an attractive suburban restaurant with convenient parking and the ambiance and service were fine. But, we went there for the food and my... More

A nice place to celebrate without breaking the bank. Food was excellent, service attentive and the wine list was very reasonably priced. The pate was very, very good and was perfect to share as a first course. Steak au poivre (black pepper corns and cream reduction) outstanding. A hearty stew (very bistro) was perfect for this cold evening. Try the... More

We enjoyed a lunch that gave my dear elderly friend not only of gift of delicious food but memories taking her back to Paris and French courtyside. Salad, quiche, soup and of course the French Bread.. Service was good, and the personal touch over the years - consistent.

My wife and I usually do not go out to nice restaurants for lunch, but we joined some friends for a pre Christmas lunch this week. LaCote d Or was the place we chose. We've been there before for dinner and was expecting the same excellent experience. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent as usual and the service... More

Went here with a family of four for dinner and the food was quite poor. The only decent item was the fois gras, which is probably not made in house. For appetizers, we also ordered the pate, which was tasteless and the frog legs were chewy. For entrees, we ordered the bouillabaisse, beef Bourguignon, pepper steak and steak & fries.... More
