Now a chain, this is the original one, and worth a visit. As a frequent traveler to the DC area, I have tried many places, and enjoyed quite a few, but I keep coming back to the Lebanese Taverna at Pentagon Row--twice this week! Virtually connected to the Pentagon City Metro stop, this is my favorite spot within an enclave... More

Babies are allowed to cry unrelentingly in a small place, ruining the experience of eating the generally great food,

This is the Lebanese Taverna's original restaurant, and it's a smaller one than many of the other locations in the DC area. Consequently, it has a much more neighborhood / traditional feel. Although it's not particularly cheap, the food is tasty, and the service is friendly. This restaurant has a small parking lot, but don't count on finding a spot... More

First, I was raised in a Lebanese family, so I can write this review with true knowledge of Lebanese Cuisine and with authority on whether or not the food was authentic. From the moment we walked into this restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by Victor. From his knowledge of the menu to his taking care of my girlfriend's food allergies... More

Delicious food - first time I had Lebanese. We ordered the sampler plates and everything was delicious and unique. Had the ice cream sampler for dessert which was really good too (orange-pistachio, vanilla cardamon, and honey cinnamon.) Ambiance was intimate and classy yet casual. Good place for a date (but watch out because the food is packed with garlic ;-)... More

After a long flight and little food, I was starved. I wandered the Galleria in search of something delicious and found the Taverna. There is a "quick" take out window where the service is excellent. I ordered the Lamb and Beef Shwarma. Heaven on a pita. This is seriously the best shwarma I've ever had and I've been eating this... More

In the huge Tyson's Mall, a welcome respite from the chain restaurants. Genuine Lebanese, family-owned and managed. Excellent service. Why would one ever eat at a chain, with such a superb local alternative.

We stopped here during 'off hours' as I love to do (Sunday Nov 24, 2013 @ 4pm). Excellent, friendly service. Plenty of fresh, hot breads come right out along with a sesame / olive oil dipper. We had the chef's sampler. And it was great. Every single item on the large platter of samplers was delicious. Parking is limited in... More
